Muni, not a country club
This course was awful, greens were slow and in bad conditions, there were 4 groups of senior citizens back to back to back to back slowing down the whole day, short course. Overall it’s not a good place to play, if you’re a younger guy that hits it long, this place is boring
Insanely slow for a Tuesday afternoon 5.5 hour round is ridiculous we called clubhouse asked for starter he came out rode around and did nothing never moved anyone nothing. The last hole we played with the group in front as a 8 some hoping clubhouse we see us and nothing. Plus no cart person they could have made a killing how slow it was I bet. Plus greens are getting beat up nobody fixing divots.
Nice course but do not go after 10 am.
Have played this course multiple times. If you get an early tee time it's great and I've blown through 18 in under 3 hours. I've been twice now after 10 am and the pace of play is absolutely brutal. Today was so bad I ended up skipping 6 holes, literally a third of the course and still ended up having a 3 hour 45 minute round. Rangers did come out at one point but by the time the came out 7 groups were logjammed between holes 7 and 9 and it's too little too late . I will definitely come back because it is a nice course but only when I can get a tee time before 730
Unfriendly staff
The woman at check in was very nice, I booked as a single and she did not say anything about charging me extra for riding in a cart by myself. When I met with starter he immediately asked if I paid the extra $10 for having my own cart. I explained to him I had not, was not asked to at checkin and had never been asked to at Pinecrest over the last year and a half as a single. He was rude about it. Pace of play was very slow, no ranger in sight, 730 TeeOff and 2 1/2 hours to play nine, the group in front of us had at least three holes clear in front. Someone in our foursome called the pro shop and a ranger came out and asked them to speed it up. This guy was also rather unpleasant. Fortunately they did pick up the pace but by this time it ended up being a 4 hour 45 minute round. Plenty of good courses around for $70 to $80 with friendly staff and rangers to keep things moving. I don’t think I’ll be back anytime soon.

Nice course, challenging and yet forgiving. Enjoyable round. A little more expensive then other courses but worth it.
Ranger (Not Starter) Needs To Go
Overall experience was poor. The conditions have gone downhill since last year. Greens were bumpy and chunked. Geese and goose poop littered the greens and tee boxes. All of this could be forgiven if it wasn't for the ranger (blue shirt, not the starter). He multiple times singled out my one friend to give him a hard time when he wasn't playing well. He also assumed my friend did not understand the basics of golf. I do not know if he was trying to be friendly but it was very off-putting and as a foursome we all agreed to not golf at PineCrest again. The starter was very nice but the ranger needs to go. He. His behavior was not appropriate.
