Decent course a little pricey, starter was rude/cranky and then ranger came by several times giving us a whole speech to basically to speed us up and threatened to remove us… Ruined the vibe and we were not even behind, we had an older gentleman with us but our pace was fine. Not our fault we teed off 10 minutes late. Ended up being held up anyways.
Tee Time Registration Issues
The only disappointment experience is that the Course Administrator took the Liberty to move out our tee time to accommodate a late entry of a Foursome followed by a Threesome. In doing so, my Grandson and I finished the round in a darker dusk and a later time than we had planned.
Mainland
Course was in good shape with the exception of the tee boxes, need a little work there.
I want to love this course....
This was our 2nd time playing this course. While playing we were continually ran up on by a young gentleman on a golf cart doing max speed. Almost had several collisions with him on blind corners. He almost ran into one of the guys in the foursome, trying to "squeeze" around us. At the 17th, we finally yelled at him. He let us know that he is the "Ranger:" The gentlemen I was golfing with, one of which is a golf instructor, let him know that Ranger's don't drive around the course at max speed and run up on people who are trying to take a shot. He apologized and sped off. Our pace was slowed up because there were 8 players on the same hole in front in of us. This slow play had the foursome behind us - hitting into us. The word FORE works amazingly when used. Let's just say it is a bit frustrating when you pay what you pay and finally get time out on the course.
Loved this course!
I can not believe I waited so long to play this course. First, great staff!!!!!!! Second, loved the setup— greens are a geeat challenge, some are tiered—- just really enjoyable.
My son and I played in 3 hrs 15 mins— pace was perfect.
Highly recommend!
A LOT OF BLIND SHOTS
Overall it is an okay course. A lot of blind shots make it difficult to find your second shot if the fairway is missed. Fairways and greens are in decent shape but, the tee boxes need a lot of work. Wouldn't play again but not bad if you have no where else to play.
Greens are challenging and firm
Fun course, nice pace of play , wet conditions from rain thought the week. But super friendly greens for high shots into the flag
Every single shot we had to wait… pro shop workers act like dmv workers… usual cash grab public course.
The staff was very relentless with the pace of play.
From the first tee box to the end, the pace of play was fine. Nobody holding us up, nobody behind us. The pace was great however the staff was very relentless on telling everybody to speed up. 4 times throughout the round we had someone come up to tell us we needed to hurry up. Even though the group behind us was an entire hole behind us. At one point they said we were 3 minutes behind on our pace after playing for 3 hours but the group behind us was “doing worse”. They were ridiculous. Honestly the course wasn’t bad at all, but I’d probably never go there again if that’s how they harass people the entire round.
Narrow fairways
Nice course, well kept and good pace of play. The fairways are really narrow, and many holes are blind (most likely intentional). So it’s a harder course for beginners, but easy for good golfers. Overall good course, no complaints
Avoid it.
They book the tee times 9 minutes apart and then send the rangers out to follow you around and rush you. Course is boring, the conditions are meh at best, and every male employee seems like a bullied child that never got the therapy they needed. There is no reason to go to Mainland unless everything else is booked up, and it’s still a terrible option.
Way too much goose poop on the course
Decent course, for the money, haven’t been there in a few years but I’ll probably go back
