Slow play
Back nine took 2:40. Senior league was having a, Mulligan on every shot, event. The party ahead of us did not seem interested in letting us play through. No Marshall.
Great Conditions and Green
Everything was in great condition. Fun course with marmots and turkeys.
Great round at Rocky Knolls!
Played yesterday with a friend and his grandson. Check in, cart and course were all great. It’s a great nine hole layout in the beautiful Black Hills. Very accommodating staff. The first hole, a shorter par 5, alone is worth the price of the green fees. We had a really fun round. Thanks Rocky Knolls. We’ll be back.
Fun
I was in the area and looking to play a round. This place was nice and had openings. The clubs to rent are not the best but the course was very well maintained. Not much of a driving range for warming up.
Custer course
Great shape! Had a single join us & was pleasant conversation & golf.😎
Mountain Course
We play this course a couple of times a year when it gets hot in Rapid City. Nothing fancy but they have a full bar so you can enjoy a drink or three on your round if you choose. Course was in good shape, greens were receptive, just fast enough and a little bumpy in spots but for a mountain course they were good. It’s only a nine hole course but sometimes playing a course twice is a good thing.
Nice course
First time playing the course. Saw it was inaccurate listed as par 32, when in fact is par 36. Played several courses in the area and this was a pleasant surprise. No gimmicky holes. Good layout and course conditions. Nice clubhouse and staff. We played in under 2 hours. Better course than any other 9 hole in the hills.
