Sunlight delight
A touch on the hot side, but spent the day with my good friend j.w.
Course conditions were trimmed and nice greens were fast which made it challenging and fun. This course grows on your heart over time and when the pace of play is fast it's a great value if you're in east Memphis tn
Wide open and fun
Great city course. Wide open links-style. No lost balls! Greens get fried in the late summer afternoon.
Average
Needs more upkeep greens were less than average and one of the tee boxes was not mowed and on o downhill side hill lie wth?
Good course - great value
Fun 18-hole city course. Quality not as good as Galloway but better than Overton. Highly recommend for beginners.
Audubon
Greens are well maintained, consistent and receptive. Fairways and course are above average. Good value for $.
Soft well cut greens, fairways, and rough
Management has kept Audubon in great shape this summer. Greens are playing and looking as good as they've been in 10 years
Supervise course speed
Slow golfers are by far the worst! The only thing that can intensify the frustration is when they aren't any good. It took me over 2 hours and 30 mins to complete the front 9 on this day when normally at an average pace it would take an hour an 45 mins at max! A foursome was holding up another foursome, twosome and 2 singles, one of which was me. to avoid even more wait time I joined up with the other single for 2 holes before he gave up and left. Slow pace should always be confronted in my mind. And for you golfers that are the slow type, please be considerate and allow held up groups to play through!
Memphis Public Courses
Typical of Memphis Public Courses. Too much money for what you get. Maintenance is poor, and the greens are marginal. The fairways were hard as a rock, and hard to play off of. The staff is pretty friendly, but they are part time help, and are just going through the motions.
