East/North Golf Course at The Legends of Massillon
About
The Legends of Massillon offers 27 holes of championship golf. The holes are divided into three nines: East, North, and South; which can be played in different 18-hole combinations. Originally opened in 1995 as an 18-hole golf course, another nine was added with each of the three nines featuring six of the original holes and three new ones. The East/North combination has large greens and plenty of water. Water is a prominent feature on every nine, it comes into play on 22 out of the 27 holes and you'll also have more than 80 strategically placed bunkers throughout to contend with. There are four sets of tees on every nine, making it accessible for a wide range of skill levels. The Legends consistently ranks as one of the top public golf courses in Ohio.

Slow, slow
If you like a 5 hr round, this is for you. We were orginally paired with 2 others and they took off before our tee time. The idiot starter did not pair the twosomes together in a full packed course.on many holes we had 4 groups, 1 on the green, 1 in the fairway, 2 on the teebox. As a twosome we sat behind a 3some. Who waited on a twosome, who waited on a twosome. Stupid starter just let everyone go as they wanted instead of insisting the twosomes have to play together. Pretty easy Course. wide open.
Slow pace killed the day
I probably played one of my best rounds, but had to cut it short at 17 due to the slow play of the 2 groups ahead of us. At 5 hours in, I had to leave to pick up my child from school on time. The golf carts state the pace should be 2 hours 15 minutes for 9 holes. This wasn’t the case on this day. It’s not typically bad, but today was awful.
Greens seem to be true to look. Nice condition, lot of movement in putts.
Our group enjoyed the course. It was are first time there. Green seem true to sight, with movement on a lot of them. Course was in very nice playable shape. Staff was very friendly.
The course is a jewel
Have always liked playing here Just which the sand traps were as nice as the course is.
Really impressed
My brother and I played on a Saturday morning. We started off in the clubhouse and were met with super friendly staff. The starter was very friendly and welcoming. The course was in great shape. It was a fun couse to play. We played the East and South. Highly recommend. We will be back.
A well maintained public course, with excellent greens
Our second round here this year. This is a very nice public course, with three nine hole layouts. All the nines are fun, South nine has a few tougher holes (#5 in particular). Rangers were notified of a group in front of us who were parking very near the greens. They took care of it promptly. Again, this is a very well managed 27 hole facility. Play it if you are in the area.
Frequent Vistor
I love to play this course. A lot of tricky holes, but very playable for average players. The staff is always friendly.
Fun trqck
I’ve heard this used to be much better. Fun layout, lots of trouble, and variety. I played north nine, and south, in that order. Bunkers, with the exception of one hole, were in good condition. Greens quite slow. Rough not too penal.
Decline
Hard to fathom how far the legends has fallen. Greenside bunkers with little to no sand just rocks and dirt.
Perfect as always
Hard to imagine a 3.5 hour round but we enjoyed that at Legends East/North today. Greens were a tad slower than their usual speed but smooth. Had a wonderful fast paced round.
Really nice course
I really like the layout of all three 9's. The course is always in really good shape, the price is very reasonable, and the staff is friendly. The pace of play was slower than normal, but it was the 4th of July, so I guess that was to be expected. I would highly recommend this course.
Nice course trees around for shade layout is nice enjoyed very much
