The Ridges
Good course, well maintained. Greens are decently fast and a fair amount of hazards. They have a "Hole in one challenge" where you pay 2 extra dollars before the round and if you hit a hole in one at the designated par 3 (with video surveillance) you win the cash. The prize was at $1500 when I went and makes for a fun challenge.
Great Course
Course conditions were excellent. We definitely had a great time playing and the back 9 is fairly challenging with tight conditions. The only gripe we have is that the pace was very slow. We followed a 6 some for most of the round but for the last few holes others joined that group to make it about 10 players we were following. Wait times to hit were upwards of 15 minutes a shot. Other than this, we had a great time and will be back again.
New Course
A good value for the fees. Read the signs for distances to the hazards or lay up area. A few quirky but fun holes. I will definitely play this course again.
Great day and a wonderful spring round.
I was bummed that the bar and grill weren't open, but there's still too much free money being away. I think they were open when I started at 2PM, but were closed by 530 when I got done. The Ridges is always a good test of your golf game. Relatively wide open front 9, pretty tight back 9.
Got behind a 6-some!!
A six-some was ahead of us and they got a little nasty with us when we said that that wasn't allowed...and poor golf etiquette.. Ended up calling the pro shop to let them take care of it. The last couple times we golfed at the Ridges, pace was very slow.
VERY EARLY SEASON
WEATHER WAS BRUTAL, COLD AND WINDY. STILL ENJOYED IT. PEOPLE WERE GREAT COURSE WAS PRETTY EMPTY BUT IN DECENT CONDITION GIVEN THAT IT'S SO EARLY IN THE SEASON.
