Not a long course but sometimes that’s ok. Greens are very undulating, elevated and fast which
Play this gem!
Great layout, great condition.
Most greens are elevated, making easy approaches difficult.
Pin placement and fast greensmade putting difficult this day.
Garbage pace of play.
You can do every trick in the book. People will ruin your round here. Not allowing faster groups to pass. Walkers who can’t keep pace. It’s a crap show. Used to enjoy this course.
Excellent
There was a lot of rain earlier in the week including some the night before. They had the course in excellent condition however. The greens were receptive but fast and the fairways had only a few wet spots. Very enjoyable playing conditions.
Great golf course
The elevated greens at this course make it challenging. However, it is very well-maintained and the staff is very friendly. I would highly recommend golfing at this course.
Kankakee Golf
Always fun to play Elks Club. But age
have now moved me up a tee. A hours
drive but worth it.
Greens are rolling great. Great par 3’s.
I love the Elks golf course in Kankakee. The greens are rolling as good as they ever have. I’ve played 3 days in a row. I’m playing again of the weekend. I love this place.
Great par 3’s
The greens roll beautifully. For a public course you can’t go wrong playing Elks. This is my favorite place to golf for a public course. If you’re looking for a good test you absolutely want to add Kankakee Elks to the list.

Layout is good
It’s still March so course conditions a little rough
Greens are small and very undulated
Same architect as Lawsonia and some other very nice courses
If you live in the area (Kankakee) a nice place to play
If not don’t know if I would make the drive
To be fair I will give it another try in summer when the greens and course in better shape
