Best Condition Ever
Course was in outstanding shape, had the place to ourselves because we were the only ones silly enough to trudge through the rain!
Best in the Area
You just beat this place. It’s challenging, fun, grass is well kept. I’d suggest it and I’ll definitely be back.
Pace and Conditions
Walked in and was told to just “find a cart”. Course was busy but there was over 20 carts on the first tee. Didn’t tee off until 2 hours after our original tee time. Took 3.5 HOURS to play 7 holes. Left and went home after getting a nice tan from sitting in the cart that long.
If you’re looking to just get hammered with your buddies and play 8 hours of golf this is the one for you.
Best In The Area
Challenging and fun course! Has everything the bigger courses have but way less expensive. It’s my favorite course in the area and I would highly recommend playing it
Nice course
Layout and conditions are average. Pace of play is fairly quick. But this is the situation regardless of weather conditions.
Good course for a warm up.
Very enjoyable to play with the elevations and layout.
Family holiday fun!
The course was busy being a holiday week but the course was in great shape and we all had a good time.
FUN Course out in the Country
I teed off on a Sunday at 11:52 AM and felt like I had the course to myself on the front nine. The greens are elevated and most are small, with sharp drop-offs -- meaning if you barely miss the green, the ball will roll several yards away (don't miss #10 to the left). The course had a good stand of grass in the fairways and the greens generally rolled well.
Oh yeah, lots of elevation changes. This course is short, but fun and challenging.
Great short game course!!
I was sorta hesitant booking this course due to the shorter length but extremely glad I did. This course will definitely test your short game skills. The course was very well maintained and great staff.
Very Impressive
I live in Stillwater’s which is 25 minutes from Lake Winds (where there’s a golf course). It used to be a very popular and nice course. The past several months the whole course has gone down, down, down hill. The restaurant food is not good at all and it’s way over priced.
So, if your in the area I would highly suggest avoiding SW and go to Lake Winds. It’s fun, challenging and just an overall great course.
It's a first rounding in Eastern area
It was different from western courses but enjoyed.
Nice pace, nice people, beautiful surroundings.
Disappointed
First time I played this course and I was somewhat disappointed in the course conditions. Very muddy, not because of an abundance of rain but because of the lack of good turf. Fairways and rough had very little grass resulting in lies that were very tight and muddy nearly everywhere you hit the ball. Greens were OK, not great, but they are tiny, elevated and run off easily due to the lack of a fringe or rough surrounding them.
May try the course in mid or late summer after it has had a chance to green up and dry out. But I do not recommend it for winter and early spring play.
