Poor condition of Course
Lots of bare spots in fairway and even a green! Crab grass. Unkept landscape. Grass in sand traps. Uninteresting greens (lot of straight putts. Layout was mundane Played gold tees to increase challenge but many of the real gold tees were unused and gold tees markers were at the blue tees
Nice course
Very nice course it was not very busy when we were there. All 4 of us are new to playing we had 2 groups that needed to pass they were very nice about it and we continued our game. We only had time to play 9 but we will be back and get 18 in. Only thing I would like to see is the driving range be cleaned up the grass was very tall under 100 yards and it was tell how the ball reacted. It was a nice surprise being close to where we stay. The staff was very nice and helpful. Keep up the good work!
You’ll Enjoy It
I’d always heard good things about Timber Truss, but some of the more recent reviews made me a little hesitant. After a full 18, I’d say the course is absolutely worth playing. The course isn’t the longest, but they guard the holes fairly well. It’s a good mix of “you can go for it” or “just lay up”. Greens rolled great and were in good shape. I will say, don’t over read the greens. I kept thinking put were breaking more than they were, so if you’re not sure, just play it straighter than you think. They do seem to have a problem with geese on the back 9 especially. Some drainage issues are noticeable too on the back nine, but they shouldn’t impede your play. They’re just small puddles or runoff around the tee boxes, but no water in the fairways or rough. That being said, none of those things detracted from my round. It’s an affordable, really solid course with a fun layout. Would recommend
Hard to offer an honest review being it was a on and off rainy day cart path only. Greens were in good condition loved the late, will play again after the rain clears out.
A tale of two 9’s
The front nine was great. The greens are in exceptional shape compared to what they were last year. I can tell they’ve done a lot of work. And then I got to the back nine. It was absolutely atrocious. I’ve never seen a string of holes so screwed up in so many different ways in my life. Ruts, tire tracks, bald areas, green’s not draining, fairway is not draining, grass not cut, greens not cut, cart paths underwater, covered in mud and broken apart. I see that they’re trying but that back nine shouldn’t even be open for business. They should shut it down and let people just play the front nine twice until they can get some serious work done on the back nine. If they get the back nine like the front line it’ll be a great course but they have a long way to go to get that done
Used to be better
Course was in playable condition but nowhere near as good as it used to be. Lots of drainage issues that they are actively trying to fix. Would not pay $60 to play here again as it is right now.
Coming along
Now that winter is over, the course is starting to get better and more attractive to the eyes. Some work being done on the car paths and tee boxes. We'll have to wait and see in a month if it will be a hot bed for golfers
Great course
Course was in great condition for this time of year. Staff was very friendly.
Timber Mediocre
First greens were not good and very slow. One group had the whole course backed up and the round turned into over 5 hours. Several holes are in need of severe maintenance, most tee boxes are not level and hard to hit from. The carts and scorecards were nice.
Great course but sometimes the booking times can get backed up but overall everyone is great and friendly and this is still one of my favorite courses. We teamed up with randoms last time and it worked out well still a great course with good prices
Beautiful Course with a Few Challenges
Walked the Front 9.
Such a beautiful to walk. Wish I had time to walk the whole 18.
The amenities were great and the concessions were not pricey. Will definitely be back when I catch another great deal.
Needs help!
We’ve had a hard summer with high temperatures and very little rain, so I expected the course to have been affected. But, not to the extent that it has been.
First the good - pro shop staff is friendly and welcoming; most of the greens are in good condition and the pace of play was good (likely due to low turnout). Here’s the bad - entire fairways, or at least a majority of the, are just bare dirt; tee boxes range from just ok to poor. The 16th hole is just a major mess and needs a complete makeover.
I caught a GN Hotdeal for $30, but that was too much for a course in this condition.
