Fun Course
This course sits on a beautiful property and many holes take advantage of elevation changes to challenge your skills and feast your eyes. About half of the holes have some character (5-9, 11-13, and 18) and give you different options at attacking them.
Staff at the club were very friendly and helpful.
Conditioning: Greens and fairways were well maintained, but was expecting the fairway grass to be mowed lower and greens rolling faster. For a private course, it shouldn't be too much to ask for flatter tee boxes, softer sand in the bunkers, and improved drainage on the holes at the bottom of the valley.
Overall it's an enjoyable course and I can see this place becoming popular if the conditions improve.
Fair value
It felt like a muni, and for a muni it was a fair value. Paid $30 on golfnow
When I heard it was private my expectations went up. But there is nothing private about this course.
The course is in decent shape, the greens were all consistent on the slow side but true (easy to read)
I enjoyed my round and felt is was a fair challenge and value, would have no problem playing it again.
For $30 with a cart you can not complain.
Just go with the expectation of a muni
Hard Times
As the golf recession continues unabated, another decent private course is on life support. Facilities and course are in dire need of investment; packed bunkers, ripped up tee boxes, weeds galore.... Greens are in passable shape for a private course but leave much to be desired. Sad to see but reality of our world - good luck to all involved.
