Course is in pretty nice shape. I enjoy playing Oakwing.
Good challenge great price
The greens were super slow & that was only disappointment to our trip.
Great day!
Best the course has been. Finally getting rain we needed but greens were almost perfect and still a challenge.
Staff were awesome as always.
Nice course, but......
Nice course, greens were fantastic especially considering the dry weather the area experienced over the summer. My "but ....." comment in the title is but.... would have been a great day on the course if the grounds crew would not have been running around in tractors and side x sides. I understand they have to work to keep the grounds nice, but....show a little more courtesy to the players.

Fairways were great,. Greens were great. Course layout was great. Pace of play was great. Staff was very professional!
Oakwing - 10/20/23
Oakwing course conditions have improved tremendously during this golf season.
Greens - 9/10 - There are a a couple greens that have semi-bare spots, but they do not impact play.
Fairways - 10/10- The fairways are always in great shape
Tee boxes - 8/10 - IMO the only part of the course that needs immediate attention. Many of the tee boxes are unlevel.
Value - 10/10 - This is the best value I have seen with a GOLFNOW Hot Deal on weekdays. Playing this course for just over $20 is a steal.
One thing to note, the course has just received new golf carts that were not equipped with GPS units. However, the carts are wired for GPS so it appears it will be installed at some point.
Great course
You will not find a better course for 45 bucks. Greens fairways top notch Rough was 6” tall and made for a challenging day to keep in fairways. Sand was hard not great sand honestly. Only complaint i had was there was a group of 25 people playing a scramble & it killed the speed of play.
Course is in the best shape since I can’t remember when. Especially the greens, finally got them on the positive side
Good course
Despite the drought conditions we are experiencing in Central Louisiana, the course is in really good shape. The greens are in good shape and are fast.
There is an excellent practice area to warm up before you tee off. The GPS systems on the carts is a big bonus. Overall the course is a great value.
