Hickory Hill Country Club & Resort

About
Formerly known as Mississippi National Golf Club
Designer Earl Stone's vision of a traditional yet demanding test of golf comes to life at Hickory Hill Country Club. Water comes into play on 10 holes, demanding strict attention to shot placement and strategy.
The 6,983 yard, par-72 layout is scenic enough to put a player's mind at ease, while challenging enough for even the most expert golfers. A course rating of 73.1 and a slope of 128 has enabled Hickory Hill to host numerous high profile events.
The 18-hole semi-private golf course opened in 1965.

Conditions improving
Conditions are improving but still have a way to go. Greens need to be better. Sand traps need sand. Layout is good. Electric carts with GPS now. Not busy when I played so pace was very good.
Conditions improving
Course conditions are improving. Played over a month ago and grass was poor. Now grass is improving. Fairways and tee boxes need more cutting. Bunkers need sand. They now have new electric golf carts with GPS. Layout is good.
Terrible Course
Unfriendly management, poorly maintained, golf carts older than my grandfather that will choke you out from the fumes. Don’t was your time or money.
☀️🥵
Nice round but the heat was stifling at 103*
Course is in good condition
Not for me
Weeds weeds and more weeds. Poor fairway conditions due to course maintenance. Tee boxes you need extra long tee to get above the weeds
Poor Conditions
Course conditions are not good. Greens slow and bushy. Fairways longer than should be. Layout is good. Gas carts. No GPS. Nice yardage book. Was not crowded when I played so pace of play was excellent.

Absolutely the worst golf course I’ve ever played in my life.
It had a 4 star review! That is not even close.
The whole course was in horrible condition. Someone said that they had problems with their irrigation system.
There were two sets of 5 in front of us going super slow. No sign of a ranger to speed things up.
After playing 3 holes in 45 minutes we finally left and went to Sunkist golf course, which was very nice.
Not the best
Unfortunately this wasn’t a good golf experience. The course is in a rough shape. The tee box’s were bad, the greens were bad, the fairway looked just like the rough. I had matinee cutting the tee box’s while I was on them and the same with the greens. Just overall not a good experience.
Good time
The course in some areas was in rough shape. The greens were sandy and rough and the tee boxes were hard. According to the staff the water pumps failed late last year and they’re just getting them back. Once they are able to water them,it will be a beautiful course again. The staff was friendly and helpful with everything
Was once a nice course, hopefully it will be again.
Given that we paid $35 each including cart, I can’t complain too much. We got what we paid for. The course is in rough shape post-winter, especially the greens. The rough condition of the cart paths shows that they have been scrimping on maintenance for a while. The rental clubs are from a different decade. On the plus side, the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Fun but needs work
The course itself was not bad... just every green was sandy and weeds covering it, and the approach shots inside 100 were impossible due to overgrown grass!
For the golfnow price absolutely would play, but cannot justify over $30 for this course as it needs SERIOUS WORK!
Course is unplayable and Golf Now should not offer
Golf Now should not offer this course on its listings
A complete refund should be given and was not!
Greens are unplayable
Bunkers are unplayable
Fairways are dormant
Bathroom is out of order
When checking in management did not inform us of the condition of the course.
Needs Some Love!
We visit Biloxi to spend time at the gulf and play some golf as it gets cold up north. We picked Hickory Hills from the website. The clubhouse was nice and the staff was friendly.
The course was rough. Fairways were weathered. The tee boxes were worn and the greens were impossible to putting. Some greens had rot and were just beat up.
When we travel we try to play local courses and some are better than others.
Hickory Hills needs some love!
