About
The Bluffs on Thompson Creek enjoys a beautiful setting tucked away amid mature hardwood forests. Creeks freely meander throughout the golf course, interconnecting with the sparkling ponds that can be found throughout. The layout is an Arnold Palmer design that takes advantage of the hills, bluffs, and hollows of the varied landscape. You face uneven lies and a few blind shots thanks to the terrain but you'll also get scenic views of the surrounding area. Accuracy is important to have but it's not an overly punishing layout if you happen to be errant. The golf course has a challenging start with an uphill par 3 as the opening hole. Another memorable hole is the par-3 eighth, which features a 50-foot drop to the fairway below. It's both an intimidating and beautiful hole.

The greens had no grass the fairways were cut nice it was clean but the greens were bad
Only one green had grass the greens and in bad shape everything else was good not sure what is going on

Just Wow
This course years ago was a gem. Loved coming here, used to be amazing atmosphere and with the Palmer name on it, it lived up to that. Now Going here the layout doesn’t make sense. It’s a lot of back and fourth from the new club house to starting tee box etc.. In addition, the course was charging $55+ and is not worth $10. It’s embarrassing for how bad it has gotten. The Palmer name should be removed until the conditions get back to how they were 4-5+ years ago. Will not return for quite some time, and use your money elsewhere.

Typical Winter Golf
Course was pretty brown but all greens still rolled well and true. Holes 2-4 still struggling with recovery and holding water but man my only overall complaint is that it's not closer lol. Definetly will go back.

Coming Around
The clubhouse has been moved across the street from the parking and carts, which mostly annoying only because the original club house was a lot nicer. Including the bathroom and showers.
The course was in pretty good shape for January. The cart path is beat up, and a few the holes are not what they were intended to be. But, on the hole it's worth the drive and money...currently.

Incredible
Such an amazing layout... great holes, fun to play... fairways ok, greens ok, but the course has stopped taking care of the sand traps and cart paths. Erosion has taken its toll. Would I play here again? Absolutely. Would I like to have played this course in its prime? Oh yes.

No bev carrt girls or restaurant encouragement
Great potential. Great layout. HARD fairways. No ability to spin ball. Greens hard. No ability to leave divots on greens. Tough because of narrow greens and fairways but really poor tee boxes in some spots and fairways and greens could use some water

Looking Up
Everything looks like it is being spruced up. New grill opened, pools look great, club house looks newly pained and cleaned up. Course was in improved shape. Played course a few months ago and course is in really good shape now.

Great course, great value
After reading that the course was returning to its former glory, we decided to give it a try - WE WERE NOT DISSAPPOINTED!! The course is in excellent shape and far exceeded my expectations. In my opinion, this may be the best golf value in South Louisiana right now!
