Kino Springs
This course recently reopened after reseeding and filling in well. Fairways more than decent. Greens fast and true in spite of a few patches. No restaurant , good beverage cart service.
OPEN AND READY FOR PLAY!!
Glad to see the course is open again and available for play. Fairways and greens were in great shape, but fairways needed some mowing. Tee boxes were rough. Green speed was good. Course condition has greatly improved and should continue to get better as maintenance crew continues their work.
Glad to be able to play there again.
This is my favorite golf course. Very relaxing and the scenery is spectacular.
They do a great job of keeping the course maintained with the limited budget they have..
Would love to see a nice restuarant or something to draw more people there.
WHEN WILL KINO SPRINGS REOPEN???
I was very disappointed a few months ago to hear the course had closed, but may reopen in October...??? This course has a great layout with many various types of shots required. Very sad to about the course closing. If at all possible hopefully Kino Springs will reopen and allow play. And hopefully they will also correct and maintain course maintenance from tee to green. When this course is in good condition, it's a great course!!
HOPE TO SEE KINO SPRINGS OPEN AGAIN!!!!
Great day
Greens were outstanding, fairways were a bit dry but I loved the extra roll!
Needs improvement
Need to keep people from driving so close to greens! Every year more grass is gone!
Course Showing Lack of Water
One of my favorite courses when course conditions are maintained. Over the last 3-4 months, course was showing very good maintenance tee through greens. As of yesterday, course is showing signs of stress most likely from lack of watering especially tee boxes and fairways. Grass around greens remains watered and greens were in good shape, hard and firm, and rolled well. If the watering issues continue, it will be sad to see the course in a few weeks.
I love this course !!!
I now live in Arivaca in the winters and thought I would have to play in
Green Valley or Tucson. I was at Haven in October and someone said "I bet you'd like Kino Springs"
so I checked it out. Wow were they right,
I love everything about the place.
the greens are fast and a challenge. (gotta be below the hole dummy)
the layout is fabulous......especially the secluded 5th through 13th
miles of hilly desert around you, with holes up over down and through arroyos
trees, deer, javalina, skunk, gophers, and tons of birds.
its heaven man.
Yes I have to drive a little over an hour to play
but it was so worth it every time.
check it out.
(there is even a rumor that the grill will be opening next season !)
Play Kino Springs
Truly a wonderfull experience, looking forward to go there often
Kino Springs. An interesting course.
Nice challenging layout. Accuracy off the tee from hole 5 thru 13 are a must. Validated by the warning sign that indicates if you enter, abandon all hope. Once you know the angles, it’s a course you can enjoy.
Most unfortunate that they don’t have a restaurant because there isn’t much near it. Pro shop and beverage cart staff were very polite and accommodating.
kino springs is great
this is one of the best courses for your dollar in southern Arizona- it is a mix of old style holes and challenging holes in the canyons along the Mexican border. its fun and makes a nice day trip from Tucson
Great layout
This course has many blind shots and is very fun to play
Good time.
The course was in pretty good shape. I’ve seen it much worse in the dry part of the summer.
Very Good Layout average condition.
Very nice layout, challenging but not too difficult. Condition of course was O.K. but not great. Course lacks the quantity of water needed to improve condition.
Enjoyable day.
A Gem in the Desert
Was staying in nearby Patagonia, AZ and was certain I would have to drive to Green Valley to find a decent golf course. Was pleasantly surprised to find Kino Springs a short drive away. Was greeted by Keith and given a cart and shown the practice facilities. Was teamed with another singleton player of similar skills and we had a great afternoon. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were all in great shape. I found the greens speed and slope to be challenging. Price with a cart at $33 was very good. Even found a few souvenir deals in the pro shop. Just need to get the grill back open.
Kino Springs is well worth playing...!!!
The course continues to be in very good shape with tee boxes and fairways being very green and playable. The greens are firm and rolling well and quick. I would say that golfers should do better in repairing ball marks on the greens. Otherwise I highly recommend playing Kino Springs before the summer arrives and drys out the course.
