Stonecreek Golf Club
About
The course is set on a 165-acre parcel off Hwy. 213 in Oregon City. Built at an estimated cost of $7.5 million, it features two distinct nines - the front half situated in a meadow-like setting and the back nine winding through towering Douglas fir trees and bordering wetlands. In addition to its namesake Stone Creek, the course has three lakes, four wetlands areas and 41 bunkers. There are four sets of tees, playing from 5,123 to the "Jacobsen" tees at 6,840 yards.
A full-service pro shop and deli are located in the clubhouse, which has a spacious outdoor deck overlooking the 18th green. Next to the clubhouse is a large tented area for private parties, tournament function, weddings and other catered events. An expansive 6 1/2-acre driving range with all grass tees and target greens serves as a convenient on-site practice area
Another unique aspect of Stone Creek Golf Club is the excellent drainage. Significant resources were expended to ensure the driest course conditions for year-round play. According to Golf Course Superintendent David Phipps, "At most courses in the Northwest during the winter months, the ball doesn't roll much, but here you'll see the ball actually bouncing down the fairway in January."
Two of the most scenic holes are par-3s. the 180-yd. No. 6 played over a lake from the Jacobsen tees, and the 141-yd. No. 14, which necessitates a drive over wetlands and consideration of a stack of boulders protecting the green. One of Peter Jacobsen's favorite holes is the par-4 ninth, a 397-yard challenge from the back tees with two fairways to choose from - an upper elevated landing area with a clear view of the green; or a lower approach through a narrow opening between bunkers.
After a round of golf, golfers can relax at the clubhouse with outdoor seating on a large deck overlooking the 18th green
With its large tented area for special events, Stone Creek Golf Club is a prime spot for hosting tournaments, weddings, corporate outings and other large groups.

Stone Creek Course is Greate
Meh
The tee boxes and fairways were sandy and the greens were not rolling true. Not sure if they had just done a top surface reconditioning to get ready for a tournament, but I called to ask the staff prior to booking the round when the course had been aerified and it had been months. Maybe I went on a bad day, but I was not impressed.
Great Course
Friendly helpful staff, course was in amazing shape. Will definitely play there again.
Great course!
This is one if the best public courses in the area when you consider playability in any weather, cost to play and course layout. The staff are even more phenomenal. I would recommend this course highly!!
Aerated Greens Do Not Dampen Spirits
My brother and I hit the Stone Creek Golf Course on a beautiful March afternoon and had a great day. As seniors, cranking up our tee and approach shots was the objective as our flexibility was left in our bags last Fall. Though the greens had recently been aerated taking putting precision out of the equation, the course challenged us on most holes while rewarding good shots. The low cost, cart included, more than compensted for the bumpy greens as I know they'll be great later this Summer.
The course is in great shape for time of year
Course drying up nicely. Pace of play on back nine was slow. Think they let a group or two slip in on 10 and from 12 on it was hit and wait. Hard to find a better public to play in the area. Price for 18 holes at golf now was great.
Great Round
Always a great experience playing this course. Highly recommend!
Drying up
Can't beat the price anywhere with golf now. Play the chorus on Thursday fairly wet but by Friday course was drying out very well. Nice round of golf just under 4 hours.
Cold winter day.
Great round. A couple holes get weird on the back nine but over all amazing coarse. Especially in winter when the coarse I played the day before was a soupy bog and stone creek was only slightly damp.
the greens were pretty good and fast and dry fairway
but the droppings from Geese were messy and everywhere,,,,<(
BEST WINTER COURSE IN PORTLAND
because the course is plugged and sanded year round it plays great year round.
Most of Course and Staff, but not all!
Most of the course layout and conditions are good. However, there are a few holes that are very poorly laid out and designed. Almost the same for the Staff, all but one were very friendly and accommodating, however the starter was very non-accommodating. almost to the point of wanting to go back to the pro shop and cancel.
Golf day
For this time of year greens wear awesome. For the most part course fairly dry. Pace of play was great. Awesome day of golf for February.
Good people, Good times
Hey look, it’s January. It’s hard to keep a course in top notch condition in the winter. Maybe so, but the folks at Stone Creek do a great job! The fairways and greens were in very good condition when I played there 1/14/18. The staff are always so welcoming. I have only good things to say about them.
Play it.
After some heavy days of rain the course played firm enough in the fairways. Drainage at this course is excellent. Wind was up and played a factor all day...The greens were somewhat shaggy and rolling slower than I had previously experienced but nonetheless true...
The layout is challenging with two different nines but still a great test of golf.
Nice winter course( not too wet after week of rain)
Nice course. Was cart path only, few wet spot but not too many at all. Greens were good and speedy! Had fun.
