Oregon City Golf Club

About
Oregon City Golf Club was originally built in 1922 as a nine-hole course. In 1960, the second nine was added bringing the total yardage to 5,940. It had no sand traps but did contain plenty of trees and rolling fairways.
Today, the course has been updated with sand traps on most holes, water on three, and the same rolling fairways and trees that have grown significantly larger. The drainage is excellent which makes it an outstanding winter course. A new clubhouse was completed in 1997 which provides all the amenities a golfer could need; including a fully stocked pro-shop, snack bar, 2,400 ft. banquet facility, putting green, and a large outside deck for your pre or post round refreshments.

Peace was perfect
Never have nothing negative to say about this course. It sucks that it will be closing soon.
Keep the course
Listed for sale and is one of the oldest course in the greater Portland Area. Hopefully it continues short yet challenging g tree lined course.
The tee boxes need some rolling to flatten them out and the trees need some lower limb pruning. If you end up in the tree which is likely to happen since the rough areas are dead are rock hard you should plan on punching out. Center of fairways are green but edges are rock hard creating huge bounces and fairway roll thrus. A few little fixes would make this a more desirable course to play over the other local courses.
Old school course
It is hard to be critical about a course built over 100 years ago, because it was fine then but not now.
No golf course should stack tee times 7 min apart, brutal. The layout is so crammed in a small footprint, that 2 holes that run parallel really could be 1.
Staff was excellent and friendly, but this was not the experience anyone wants. You 100% will have someone from your group or 4some playing parallel hole out of position. Trees are huge, people are loud, and the layout is just at times too close for comfort.
Any other course would be better….
This is the worst Golf course in the area. It used to be nice and the staff used to be friendly. My husband hasn’t golfed in a while and wanted to get back into it.
We asked for the latest tee time so he wouldn’t hold anyone up. We also asked for a cart. His tee time was 5:30 and they said sorry no carts after 5. So they tried to walk it. The staff started harassing them by hole 2, saying they wanted to go home soon and to hurry up. Note* there was 6 staff on 2 carts driving all over and playing however they wanted while this was happening. Eventually they were told they had to skip a hole. They finished in less time than was required.
The next day, I called Rose “the owner” who offered a refund but needed all the card info and full address of my family. I tried to call back 5 times and 3 weeks later she finally returned my call. She was rude and offensive. She said she stands by her staff and said no refund and hung up on me. We have known the staff at this course for many years, I’m disappointed they treat people this way.
Every golfer is new or learning at some point. If you’re not a professional, don’t golf here. Even if you are, there is much nicer courses and staff. We have been told for a while that this course was going away and housing development was going in which made us sad….. but now, I would rather see houses than people who treat people that way. Stay away unless you don’t want a relaxing time on the course!!!!
Don’t go here!!!!

Tee Boxes were not flat, hadn't been moved in ages (bare dirt in lots of them), greens were spongy/wet (better than dry and hard), and staff were polite but kinda dismissive at same time.
Good time
A beautiful day, great group, nice course.....what's better?
The greens were well watered, soft, and slow. Some tee boxes were chewed up, but oh well. I was happy to find out they're going to be open into next year....heard they were closing and sold. Not so. I'll be back.
Summer rules
The greens were slow and spongy today for the most part. We surmised it’s to ward off the heat which would burn them up but some greens had excessive water causing water bed like action!
This is still one of my favorite places!
Owner thinks you’re a number not a person
Never been treated so poorly in my life the owner and rose are horrible people!
