Oregon City Golf Club

Great course for the money. Pace of play was good. We only had to stop and wait a few times for the people infront of us. Very well groomed and maintained course. These guys and gals are doing a great job. Staff is friendly and helpful as can be. Only thing I would add to this course is a wider variety of food and drink. I feel like every gold course should serve bloody Mary's. Aside from that, I'll keep going back to this course for years to come.

If you have never played this course .. it is a nice course to add to your rotation. The course is in very good shape. The greens are probably the most questionable. They tend to be very soft and spongy. The ball still rolls very well and they are very well maintained.. just soft and slow. If you like those types of greens that is exactly what you will get. The course itself is very well maintained with many tricky hole layouts. Can get very technical at times. The fairways are in good shape lots of trees. The biggest issue is that players don’t fix their ball marks or rake the bunkers. You wouldn’t think it would be that difficult.. but apparently it is.! The course is great for any skill level of golfer. Good value and staff is very friendly and helpful. Very good course overall.

I always walk away from this course thinking I should have scored better than I did. I think I need to give the course credit how all the trees make this course difficult, particularly the dogleg par fives. And I think holes #9 and 18 are neat finishing holes for the front and back. I play at many courses and I find Oregon City's greens to be a little slow compared to most other courses, takes a little getting used to. But they are in very good shape.

If you book to play with other people it would be nice if they request people to stick to tee time instead of leaving early. Alone 🥲

The golfer I was paired with also used Golf Now app. He paid $20 less than I did.

Picked this course kinda randomly from GNow offers. Liked what I read. Some misleading stuff on line. The course is not closing as far as the staff knows - the real estate deal fail thru.

So I arrived, looked around. Went in and met Russ. Asked about closure - he said that threat has passed. I mentioned some of the on-line stuff. He was matter of fact and gave a historic account of the Oregon City Golf Club from original 9 holes going back to the 1920's the 1950's and do over in Seventies. Great staff.

It was Monday so kinda light. My good friend showed up and we got right off. I am use to playing at Lewis River in SW Washington so Fir & Cedar lined fairways are comfortable to me. This course is packed with lovely trees. The greens were good to very good - didn't distract from play. This friend and I played Wildwood out on Rte 30 recently and he loved that - he liked this even more. He plays Landon on a regular basis.

So to tighten this up and not ramble to much. I will come back to play. I will play on Monday or Tuesday if play is light I like that. There is limited elevation but some including a challenging down hill par 3 on the back. The is enough water to keep you honest. Highly enjoyable change of pace. Fairway grass could be more uniform that is strictly a cosmetic comment - for mid -Sept and lots of trees - no bare

Club House - Dogs and Sausage kinda place. Tap and Cans - not a full bar. My best hole was #9 Great tee shot and a 10 ft putt. Check out the website - give it a try if for nothing else the value proposition. i am sure it will find its way on to your play list. Especially for my GolfNow Friends.

We were followed by Marshall about our pace of play, even though not once was anyone waiting behind us. We couldn’t even see anyone behind us, but due to the fast pace group in front of us that started much earlier, it made us look off? Dead grass and scorched greens for nearly every hole, not to mention how sloped or lopsided the tee boxes are. Overall, I believe this course is dying and without proper funding rumor has it they out of business soon. Also, to not have available carts for the earliest tee times is insane. 7:37am tee time, yet groups behind us get rental carts because they called days ahead.

The greens were the best I’ve ever seen, slow in the morning but very smooth rolling. Some of the tee boxes need to be moved around but it is still a fun course to play.

Course layout was nice. Rumor has it they are closing at the end of the year since they sold to a developer who will like put in apartments or a business property. Unfortunately, you can tell they are minimizing the maintenance/upkeep budget and it is showing. A lot of brown grass and the tee boxes are in poor shape and in need of grass. Overall, the round of golf was nice, just obviously, poor maintenance.

Not a single tee box on this course is flat. Dips and raised areas across almost every tee box. More divots than space to put tee. Fairways were okay, the rough on each side is dead grass, sticks, pine cones. It feels like playing golf in the middle of winter. Greens were good, rolled well. I think this course is grossly overpriced for the quality of the course and won’t be back.

Course and staff on point! Great bang for your buck!

Super slow course, Marshall was amazing and did what he could but it was a Long day!
