Great course
Whenever my job brings me to Wichita I always try to play this course. It is one of my favorite courses. Course is usually in great shape and the greens are challenging and FAST.
A hidden gem in central Kansas!
I from the KC area but whenever my travels take me near Newton, KS I try and find the time to play at Sand Creek Station.
Public that usually feels like a private course!
Play here a few times a year. Love everything. This visit we accidently went on #2 without knowing it was cart path only. Marshall was extreme, screaming at us. Said we were disrespecting "their" course! He just kept yelling and didn't seem to want to accept our apology. We always leave a course better than we found it. Pace of play was very slow at times. 2nd Marshall was very helpful. I can't stand people who play from the tips and can't drive 100 yards. They need to be forced to move to front tees!
A South Central Kansas Treasure!
I believe it is one of the most beautiful and well maintained courses in South Central Kansas. The staff are always friendly and very courteous. The practice facility is something of which the pro's would be used to fine tuning their skills on daily. This is an A+ course. Also, I have to add they will be hosting the 2014 US AMATEUR. What a fun place for a group go play, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
