Nestled in the heart of the Rockies, Golf Granby Ranch boasts unbelievable mountain vistas. It consistently ranks as one of the top public golf courses in Colorado. Formerly known as Headwaters G.C., the course originally opened as a nine-hole layout in 2001 and has since expanded to a full 18 holes and underwent a renovation by Nicklaus Design. The golf course tumbles across dramatically hilly terrain that does more than offer great views, it also gives each hole a unique character. Sand traps can be found throughout, you'll even see some in the middle of the fairways, which is a Nicklaus signature. There are also natural lakes and ponds that come into play on several occasions. The golf course can be a tough but six sets of tees make it approachable for any skill level.

great layout

Played Grandby ranch and had a great time. Flew through the front 9 as a single. Caught another single on the back nine and it made the round that much more enjoyable,he had great course knowledge since he lived at the ranch. As far as the course goes it's a tale of two 9' s front side is flat back side is hilly. Conditions were perfect. Greens are super quick. My only complaint was the rocks in the bunkers and the set of rental clubs needed new grips on them. Comin if your going to charge 35$ at least make sure the clubs are clean and in good condition before handing them out.

Great mountain vistas!

Built along wetlands in a valley surrounded by mountains with beautiful vistas, it is a unique mountain setting. Most importantly there is only one hole lined by homes on the back nine and none on the front - truly unique!

Worth every penny!

Front 9 is in the lower wetlands while the back 9 is up in the mountains. All rounds include range balls which golfnow doesn't say anything about. Staff was friendly and helped us get around the course with very little trouble.

Excellent condition, good practice areas, modest pro shop

A hidden gem in Grand County. Good conditions on fairways and greens. Mountain rains help, no doubt. Great scenery. Unpretentious. Worth the drive from Denver and the $79 green fees.

Great golf! Poor amenities

Course was in great shape! Pace was good, clubhouse and layout need improvement. There is about a 10 minute cart ride between 9 and 10. Also a long ride after 18 to the clubhouse. There should be a better flow.......got a great deal on golf now, but come to find out the twosome that we joined us paid half as much. Besides that great value for a Nicklaus design. Be aware of the deck going into the clubhouse..........super slippery! You might land on your backside.

Pristine Beautiful location. Magnificent views and what golf is all about.

The course is so well maintained that unless you know better, you would think that you are playing on artificial grass. This course has all the challenges you would want on a golf course and at the same time is "golfer" friendly. A must play for a recreation or serious golfer. God had to be a golfer when he designed this course.
