Painfully Slow
After a 2 1/2 hour bumper to bumper drive from Staten island to have to endure 6 hours and 15 minutes to play 18 holes was ridiculous. No rangers to be had to help speed up play. No carts to sell water.. Water fountains were in the direct sunlight. When we reached the 10th hole to get a drink the rolling gates came crashing down in our face. This was at 6 PM on a Saturday. Course was in nice condition but I wouldn't wish that pain on my worst enemy.
This is a near perfect course.
Extremely well maintained golf course and much better than the other two courses at this park. Near perfect greens and quite challenging.

Payment
I had paid the green fee along with cart fee but at the course I was given the cart for additional fee?
This never happened to me before and I always book through golf now.
VERY NICE COURSE.
FOR A COURSE THAT GETS A LOT OF PLAY, IT IS KEPT IN VERY NICE SHAPE. THE ONLY DOWNSIDE IS THE PACE OF PLAY. IT ALWAYS TAKES 5 HOURS OR MORE TO PLAY. IT IS ALSO TO EXPENSIVE IF YOU DO NOT GET A DISCOUNT.
above average course but VERY slow play during weekends
Course is good value for money compared to others around NYC. Maintenance is average but OK for an established course even greens. Only negative is pace of play and maintenance of some tee boxes.
