Good course
This course was in excellent shape. The bunkers contained minimal sand, and the lack of hazards minimized the difficulty, however the deep rough on the edges and through the ditches made up for it. Staff was excellent.
Maintenance and layout
I joined up with some locals for a quick round on the way to the airport. I can’t imagine the last time these greens were mowed as they were worse than slow. Hole #5 is so confusing not a true golf hole. Change it to a par 3 and the round to 71. So many dandelions on the course that it was difficult to find a ball that wasn’t in the fairway. It would not take much to make this a quality course as the employees were really great!
November Golf in Wisconsin
Course was in very good condition. Pace was a little slow as can be expected when it's 60° in November. Staff was grea!!
Great customer service
I had trouble being able to make my tee time and the manager (specifically Jake) was extremely understanding and helpful in getting my refund for my prepaid round. Our group golfed at New Berlin for the first time (coming from Racine area) two weeks ago and we liked everything about the course and people there so much that this course will definitely be added to our list of “go to” courses. A 40 minute drive but WELL worth the drive. A challenging course for sure (especially the well groomed greens). We’ll definitely be golfing here again and again. Loved it!!!!
Greens beat up.
Couldn’t realistically putt. Greens haven’t healed well from moisture maintenance done earlier in the year.
Great value
I play this course often. It is a fantastic value relative to other courses nearby. The condition for November was excellent bi commented to my playing partner how clear if leaves the fairways were. So nice to not have to search for balls in the fairway.
Late season. Great condition.
This was our first time playing this course and we enjoyed our outing immensely. We traveled 40 minutes from Racine but we’ll worth the little extra windshield time. Will most certainly try our luck on the course again!
New Berlin Hills
Course was understandably pretty dry. Greens were slow but fair. They need to cut the practice green the same day as the course greens.
Well maintained for early season. New markers indicating yardage for landing in a save area, after the water hazard. Played golf course for the first time this season and the staff, sorry forgot his name, was very friendly (played 4/24/23 @ 9:45am) maybe that helps you identify the person. Thanks
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review for New Berlin Hills GC. We agree that the staff does a great job and are glad they made a great impression during your visit!
While we mowed our greens the weekend you played, we appreciate the feedback, and will discuss adjusting the height of our mowers with our superintendent.
We always enjoy hearing ideas on how to improve the course, and welcome more details about your thoughts on shortening hole 5, which would reduce par to 70 since it's already a par 71.
You can reach us at 262.780.5200 or by email at info@newberlinhillsgolf.com. We look forward to hearing from you so we can discuss your experience.
Thank you!
