Malmesbury Golf Club at Mt Royal Golf & Country Estate was established in 1960 and is popular among locals and Capetonians alike especially in the Cape's difficult wet winter conditions as an attractive parkland course with views over the Paardeberg Mountains and with Table Mountain clearly visible on clear days.
Since November 2005 the Malmesbury Golf Club has been incorporated into the prestigious Mount Royal Golf & Country Estate but retains financial and administrative autonomy.
