Staff/Management make this course unplayable
The owner/manager of this establishment is one of the most abrasive nasty people I’ve ever dealt with.
Although I like the course, Laura’s(the manager or owner) etiquette is enough for me to never play this course ever again.
Great little track
My go to course for a quick 9 hokes. I can usually play in about an hour most days. Some nice improvements since the last time I played, new fencing, some nuisance obstacles removed, and the fairways are better maintained. Always fun.
Experience
This place is for the most inexperienced players. The cost (40 dollars) to play such a short course is comical. The grass is burnt out or chewed up around all the tee boxes and in patches on the course. If you were working on your wedge game this place is fine.
The staff at register was not friendly. Resident players who were with me had the most difficult time trying to prove their status with the guy.
We went to hit balls and the guy told us that kids cannot hit off the grass range only the mats. I asked at what age someone can use it. He says he did not know. I said 18 and he said maybe 21. What kind of policy is this? We pay for a bucket of balls. If you want to raise the rate in grass vs mat, I understand, but don’t have an age limit for use of grass and then not have the staff know what that is. The guy was just not nice.
Great little 9 hole for public use.
If you go into this course thinking it's going to be some amazing thing then yes you might give it a low score but if you go into it knowing that's a very short and compact layout but open to the public this isn't actually a wonderful course.
Great greens and lay out as best they can for what they have and it's public. Everywhere else around here you have to pay a 1/2 a million dollars to play it and then plus more to be a member. I'm assuming the people that gave this a 3 star or less probably are members somewhere else at a very fancy high end place and think that this place sucks because they probably have millions or billions. This course is great for practice or for new beginners or someone that just wants to have a chill round with their friend.
I play at East Hampton more than pox which is a beautiful course but I still like pox Because I'm fairly a beginner but not too bad either. It's great for me to learn and practice on and meet new people. Not up tight at all like most of the places in this area.
August 9
The greens were in great shape considering the no rain this summer
The tee boxes were essentially dead pan with crab grass unfortunately… for a quick 9 for a bevy it’s ok !
Better than expected
First time playing , had heard not that good .
As it turned out fair value. , course better than expected
Greens surprisingly good .
Some rough edges around sand traps .
A couple of tricky par 3 ‘’s
All in all happy with course .
Hidden Gem
Fast playing executive course if timed properly. I usually play at obscure times and typically complete in less than an hour and a half.
Fun 9
Nice little 9 hole course. Nothing fancy but the greens are always in great shape.
