Great course for family
This course is a less expensive course to play in the Colorado foothills with amazing views. My wife loved this course and if you are trying to get your wife to play golf with you, this is one of those!
Refresh
A great small course to refresh one's iron plan and putting.
Beware of the Creek, it runs all over the course
It is a fun course and a course to sharpen your golf skills.
Fun course
I've played this course about 4 times and it's a great place for beginners and the prices are great though golf now. Staff is very friendly.
Don't Fall for GolfNow Hot Deal Here
I didn't play the course. It was advertised on GolfNow as a full 18 hole course but I arrived to see my mistake first hand.
This course is 9 holes, with the longest hole about 250yds, most are short par 3's. I'm sure it's fun if that's your style of play, but it would be nice if it weren't advertised as a full size course for guys looking to play 18 holes. Luckily the hot deal was cheap, as there are no refunds. I imagine guys making the same mistake as myself provides them with a steady stream of income.
Stoney Creek
Fun little course with no huge crowds or backups. Will play this course often in the future.
Par 3 with carts
This golf course is a par three with golf carts. I suppose it's good for beginner golfers, but then some of the golfers out there yell at you if you take too long.
I won't be back in less it costs $12 per person including cart or less.
False advertising by GolfNow
I will never use GolfNow again unless my money is refunded. It was a waste of a Sunday. Advertised as an 18hole course on GolfNow for $32.00 with cart. In fact it was a 9 hole par three with three par fours mixed in. We were expected to play this little league track twice to make up 18holes. I could have played course with 7iorn sand wedge and putter. To play 18 holes at course is $32 every weekend with out GolfNow. So I payed an extra booking fee to put the icing on the cake. I will never use cold now again unless they make this right.
Terrible
Essentially a par 3 course with a few short par 4s. Worst maintained golf course I've ever seen. Poorly designed cart paths as you are having to drive right by many greens to get to the next tee box. I wouldnt pay more than 10 bucks for 9 holes here.
Good short game course
Nice short course for working on iron play. Can't beat the price. A little rough shape in places but overall not to bad. No crowds fast pace of play.
Is what it is.
Stoney Creek has recently changed from a friendly little walking course to a crowded, slow, marginally maintained golf course. It was built to be walked. Now they are pushing "Hot Deals" including carts. The price has jumped up significantly when the course conditions do not merit it. Every shot I hit from a fairway was like hitting from the second cut, and the rough is U.S. Open long and thick. They just don't know how to manage what could be a little gem within view of the Flatirons.
Poorly Advertised
For those who have not played this course, golfnow advertised it as 18 holes with a cart for a very affordable price. Seeing as I had not played this course before, I gave it a shot. What I didn't know was that it was a 9 hole, extremely short executive course that you play twice when you pay for 18. Ridiculous to me. I don't want to play the same set of holes that are 115 yards. Even the three par 4's were 240-260 yards. I hit the ball a long ways with my drive and wasn't even able to pull it out of my bag on this course. Will not return.
not pleased with the course
Was not aware that it is a par 60 course with no par 5 and only 3 par 4. Also is only a nine hole course well kept but very crowded and a young immature crowd! Not a very good selection of food nor beverages!
Great for 9 hole walkers
I have played 18 at multiple 9 hole courses in Colorado. Course would be best for 9 hole walkers, I purchased 18 with a cart through golf now, the cart paths are hard to find even though holes lead directly into one another. The course has a lot of water, greens and holes were not maintained at all on the date we were here.
Charming Executive Course requiring accuracy
The staff was welcoming and very proud of their nine hole executive course as they should be. They make a point of not pairing you up with other players, which is unique in itself. The course is not long, only 2 par 4s, but accuracy is a must. It was challenging with many occasions to loose balls, lots of creek water. The course is nestled in the middle of open space, no houses or traffic. Very charming. Lots of fun for a short course.
if you plan to play here more I would like to speak to you about playing together there. Please contact me if interested
