Bad book, don't do it!
This was unfortunate for me to waste time going to this course. It's very small and has duvets and holes and drain pipes everywhere. Along with the sandy Dune-like greens/putting areas the bunkers are made from seashells. It's not a good course to play with no food drinks or concessions. 1 bathroom for everybody to share. I am very upset booking this course in my rounds of play. I golf every day and book a bunch through golf now and was upset this was what I got from this booking.
Ripped off
Course rates were only $15 for round, charged me the golfnow rate at $33 which included cart. No carts available still charged me. After playing their terrible 9 holes I went in to try and get half my money back since we played only 9. Would only give me a free round next time, that's when I was going to argue the rates but guy just said that's what golfnow charges. I will never play this course again and will make sure to let others know as well.
Course isn't worth $8 let alone $66...
Course needs some attention
This 9 hole course could be a lot better if someone would spring for some grounds maintenance. Tee boxes are shot, fairways are bare dirt in areas and the greens were lumpy and furry. This was our first time playing here and most definitely the last time as well. Don't waste your time or money here unless it is your last resort.....even then think about it first....
Great layout
Short course with only 9 holes. But I really liked the layout, and it was in pretty good condition for being mid October.
Great for the value
The staff here are super friendly and fun to be around. The course has really fast greens and fairways which makes selecting the right club a little tricky but that just adds to the fun. Overall it is a great course. Whether you are a beginner or seasoned veteran you will not regret playing this course.
Can't Beat The Price With A Stick!
Incredibly laid back, fast, fun and easy 9 hole course 15 minutes north of Golden. Very nice staff, have been there a few times and always leave with a smile on my face
Played it twice for $10 with a cart via a hot deal and wrapped up in just over 2 hours. Will definitely be back again (have 1 more punch on the card for a free round!)
Better than blowing through a few buckets at the range and cheaper too. And you can buy back lost balls for $5/doz
*and it looks like they are upgrading some of the cart paths but I like the rough and tumble it is now, makes for a fun run!
Great course for family
This course is a less expensive course to play in the Colorado foothills with amazing views. My wife loved this course and if you are trying to get your wife to play golf with you, this is one of those!
Fun course
I've played this course about 4 times and it's a great place for beginners and the prices are great though golf now. Staff is very friendly.
Don't Fall for GolfNow Hot Deal Here
I didn't play the course. It was advertised on GolfNow as a full 18 hole course but I arrived to see my mistake first hand.
This course is 9 holes, with the longest hole about 250yds, most are short par 3's. I'm sure it's fun if that's your style of play, but it would be nice if it weren't advertised as a full size course for guys looking to play 18 holes. Luckily the hot deal was cheap, as there are no refunds. I imagine guys making the same mistake as myself provides them with a steady stream of income.
Par 3 with carts
This golf course is a par three with golf carts. I suppose it's good for beginner golfers, but then some of the golfers out there yell at you if you take too long.
I won't be back in less it costs $12 per person including cart or less.
False advertising by GolfNow
I will never use GolfNow again unless my money is refunded. It was a waste of a Sunday. Advertised as an 18hole course on GolfNow for $32.00 with cart. In fact it was a 9 hole par three with three par fours mixed in. We were expected to play this little league track twice to make up 18holes. I could have played course with 7iorn sand wedge and putter. To play 18 holes at course is $32 every weekend with out GolfNow. So I payed an extra booking fee to put the icing on the cake. I will never use cold now again unless they make this right.
Terrible
Essentially a par 3 course with a few short par 4s. Worst maintained golf course I've ever seen. Poorly designed cart paths as you are having to drive right by many greens to get to the next tee box. I wouldnt pay more than 10 bucks for 9 holes here.
Good short game course
Nice short course for working on iron play. Can't beat the price. A little rough shape in places but overall not to bad. No crowds fast pace of play.
Is what it is.
Stoney Creek has recently changed from a friendly little walking course to a crowded, slow, marginally maintained golf course. It was built to be walked. Now they are pushing "Hot Deals" including carts. The price has jumped up significantly when the course conditions do not merit it. Every shot I hit from a fairway was like hitting from the second cut, and the rough is U.S. Open long and thick. They just don't know how to manage what could be a little gem within view of the Flatirons.
if you plan to play here more I would like to speak to you about playing together there. Please contact me if interested
