A great deal from golfnow.com
I have played Turkana many times over the years, and its a nice little course. There has been no summer burnout in the northeast this year so it has been good and green this year. The greens are fast and undulating and some downhill putts can get away from you. despite the greens being a bit "choppy" (please repair your ballparks) they rolled pretty true. The hilly terrain, and sloped greens are the course's most challenging feature. All in all, It's a good course.
good condition all around, nice views
Very good link course. various elevations, good green, good fairway and interesting layout. Friendly staff. Will play again. This place should look beautiful in the fall. Last hole #18, is tough from the blue tee- Watch for water on the right beyond the big tree, you can not see it when you teed off, very narrow fairway, you can only see the rough on the left.
owners must have left the other reviews.
way too expensive for location and course . course is very plain, green are nice sometimes. 2013 has been a good year for them ,mother nature an all her rain helped a lot. most years the fairways are dead brown . theres always an underage girl working an selling alcohol .. and just because you paid for 18 dont think they wont send golfers of 10 right before you get there. the girls working dont know golf so they let people do what they want....... i play it often cause its close but id never play without a golfnow coupon, why pay 36$ when you can pay 14?
A course to remember
Everything is in perfect condition especially the Greens.
the course was in great condition
the fairways were great . the greens were very challenging with the contoured surfaces. it is a good value for the money. the staff was helpful and friendly.
Hilly and Open
Being a links course, the holes are open and hilly. Greens are undulated, challenging, and in good shape. There are several nice scenic holes. I'd play there again.
very scenic,nice greens
