One of the best courses in MN
Not sure what this other reviewer was talking about. I've played the course a bunch of times. The staff is amazing and I don't believe I have ever seen a weed in the fairway ever!! The cost to play at this course as a guest is cheaper then going to Troy Burne or Stoneridge were I tend to play more often. If you can find a way to play here, I would try to make it happen. Top 5 course in MN for sure, that's not my opinion, it's a fact.
What happened?
In the past this course was in wonderful condition. This year I have played the course multiple times each time I was astonished by the lack of love shown to the course. As small examples: My first game this year, there was a field of dandelions in the middle of number 11 fairway. This last game, the cut grass was piled in rows on the fairway from being cut. In the rough there was patches of cut grass throughout. The grass in the rough appeared to be there for days, it was dry and brittle to the touch. I found 3 golf balls under this cut grass in the rough through my round.
This is a private course managed as if it were a $20 public course. The clubhouse personnel could not care less about a patron. I did not get his name, but If I would have been ignored by the man in the office I would have left with a less bitter experience. As it was, when I left the pro shop I felt that I should apologize for the inconvenience I put him through to have him come out into the pro shop. I can not understand why a member would pay the high costs to play at this course.
The only redeeming quality is the friendliness of those that work in the grille and drive the beverage carts
