Check in was quick, no problems there. Pro shop staff let us start on the back 9 since there were 2 groups waiting on 1st tee box. We decided to start on the back 9 since our taxi driver would be waiting until we finished playing. It took my wife and I 3 1/2 hours to play!! It would have been quicker had my wife not been taking pictures of this awesome golf course by the beach. The course itself was in great condition! This is a Robert Trent Jones design that will challenge you. Get a deal through GolfNow because if you book through the golf course you will pay the rack rate of around $150-160 a player. I used the rewards I had with GolfNow and ended paying $170 for wife and I for a tee time at 8:40am. The course is a little ways from downtown Mazatlan so plan your transportation accordingly. There is Uber in Mazatlan!

We have played a couple times over the past couple of weeks. The course is a really nice. I booked today's golf Dec 26th. Today I was informed that I was supposed to call prior to arriving??? They didn't have us on their computer system to play. Well, I've always had to show my confirmation on my phone for her to check us in They were very busy today, so she put us with a three other golfers. The person we played with said the course isn't that well ran and we aren't the only ones having issues using GolfNow! So, I guess there isn't communication between Golf Now and Estrella Golf course administration?

This course is amazing!! Golfing at the ocean at its best!

This gem of a course is set off the beaten path but worth the short journey to the coast. The course conditions are excellent and the first time player has no trouble seeing the line to take off the tee. Note the breeze and the ocean views that make this a Mazatlán must-play course. Pro shop and restaurant are excellent. Spend some time post-round taking in the food and hospitality.

Playing on a holiday (Mexican Independence Day) is great. We were the only players. Restaurant/clubhouse closed so no beers after. They brought beers to us on course during round so awesome. Friendliest staff around. Playing later in the day is recommended because a nice breeze picks up & it’s not so hot. Course is in great shape.

I played this course while visiting Mazatlan and it was a Friday morning. I was the only one on the course so obviously the pace of play was outstanding. I did join another golfer on the fourth hole. The course was in great condition even though it had been aerated three weeks earlier. The pro shop attendant gave me a discount since the greens were not rolling at their best. That was a major Kudo. I enjoyed this course and don’t know if I enjoyed the golf or the views more. I would highly recommend playing this course if you like To play golf on scenic courses. The only negative is that it is quite a ride from the ocean front strip in Mazatlan. But well worth the effort to get there.

Very nice course and at least in three holes with the ocean as background. Excellent staff only low point is that no caddy is available, maybe because at the end of the round you recognize it wasn’t needed.

Course over all nice. No map of course , so hard to read for first time playing. Rentsl clubs have no sand wedge. I asked caddie. Said none provided. Clubs need to be replaced. Course layout confusing. It is s fun course. I would play again if had better clubs.

Thecourse was in superb condition. The greens were large and fast. Best course we haveplayed in Mazatlan.

Booked for noon. We went to the course at 10:30 and they put us right out to get ahead of a tournament. Very efficient and friendly, Golf course was nice except some of the greens were a little rough.

Our trip there was horrible. Got ripped off by the front desk staff on refunding my credit card $200 usd.multiple request to be repaid<even though i have a receipt from edm > showing they owe me $3300 pesos. the manager has promised me a refund that day< but they refuse to give me back my money> pathetic >>> refund was because the beds were hard as rock>had to take cushions off the couches just so we could sleep. No cooking utentsils in the beautiful condo with incredible kitchen we could not use> got put up in a hotel room for last 2 nights>hence a gorgeous golf course location< however no fresh holes cut on the greens in weeks> beat up destroyed holes to putt into> robert trent jones would die that his name is on such a poorly maintained course.. Once again< credit my mastercard< you liars...
