Poor marked
My friend and I have been golfing together our whole lives, and we were really looking forward to playing at White Oak for the first time. The course itself was lovely, especially the back nine which was clearly marked. However, we ran into a bit of a snag trying to get from the 9th green to the 10th hole. The path across the road from the 9th was pretty confusing, and we ended up taking a wrong turn that led us all the way down to the main road. It was a bit embarrassing, and we even got an earful for being in the wrong spot! It would really help if there was a clear sign right by the 9th green pointing the way to the 10th. It would save future golfers a lot of hassle and make the experience much smoother.
Great Course, Great Conditions, Great Staff,
Golf course layout is great and greens very challenging. Staff very friendly! Great bar/grill restaurant called Smashers burgers and brews only few miles away that’s worth stopping at afterwards for bite to eat.
Very friendly staff.
My first time playing this course. Wow. Very nice layout and very challenging. My friend and I were there very early(7:30) and the mowers were very courteous as was the young lady in the pro shop. We also met the owner who was out on the course checking things out. He stopped to talk to us for a few minutes. Very nice gentleman. I will definitely be back again. I should mention I live 45 minutes away.
1st Time Golfing The Course
Very open course but don't let that fool you! The greens are crowned and very challenging! Course was in pretty good condition! Fairways and greens were all well manicured! Price of the items in the clubhouse was very good! Food and drinks all were a great price I would definitely come back! Great value for the money!
Very Well Maintained Course
I travel over a hour to White Oak, Played here last year and the staff is great. Really friendly and professional and one of my reasons I returned this year. Course can be challenging with the front 9 being very open with small, crowned greens and back 9 a lot tighter with bigger but flatter greens. Definitely a course I will make the the trip to at lease once a year.
The course was very dry and brown. They definitely need to water it way more than they do. I was disappointed. The ball was bouncing like it was landing on concrete, not fun.
great layout
great geens, fairways starting to brown out from lack of rain
What a find!
I had a day in PA enroute and decided to play a round at white Oak Golf course.
I was very pleasantly surprised by the condition of the course! Very well maintained. The greens were impeccable with almost non pitch marks.
The course has some very ‘interesting’ holes like 13th and 15th and a few others in back 9 need you to scamper over the hills to see what line to hit.
We had a wonderful time and will return. Play here if you get a chance to.
Greens were in great condition.
Some of the fairways are challenging in the sense of the hillside angles.
Has potential..
Front 9 and back 9 are two different animals. Cart paths (or lack thereof) need more signage. Back 9 is littered with blind spots and the craziest dog legs I've ever played. Target golf for sure
