First time playing here since the big renovation project. It's mostly the same, but they've made some nice updates and stretched it out a bit. It plays long from the blue tees, with a handful of 400-430 yard par 4's. That being said, it's fairly generous off the tee, with the exception of a few holes where there is some trouble (mostly around the lake). The par 3's are challenging, and the par 5's good scoring opportunities. Pace of play was decent (4 hours 15 min) and the conditioning was very good. Quite a few ball marks on the greens, but that's to be expected at a city course, and they still rolled pretty well. The rest of the course was solid. I think it's the best muni in town. It's not cheap, mind you. Costs over $70 with a cart, but I guess the days of $40 golf are virtually gone. You'll always have a good day at McCall regardless of whether you're a scratch player or a casual golfer.
