About
Located in Drumheller, Dinosaur Trail Golf & Country Club is situated in the heart of the Badlands. The course's wooded terrain provides a striking contrast to the surrounding desert-like landscape. Jagged hills sprinkled with ancient boulders and cacti provide a setting that is truly unique. The site is home to dinosaur bone beds that date back 75 million years, which is where the club gets its name. The golf course was carefully constructed around these beds and the 11th hole was even reconfigured so as not to disturb the possible dinosaur skeletons embedded in the hillside. The layout has a player-friendly front nine, which you'll want to take advantage of because the back nine is much more challenging. Dinosaur Trail's final nine holes are even known for being one of the area's toughest closing nines.

Out of town visitors
I had some friends coming to town for southern Bc and figured the layout at Dinosaur Trial would be interesting for them and they absolutely loved it. The weather was excellent for October and the course wasn’t that busy so it was a very nice experience.
The back 9 is beautiful
It’s like being on a different planet. The scenery on the back 9 is second to none.
Terrible staff
Booked a tee time for 830 as a single. When I arrived the guy at the counter told me they were full and could not let me go out. They were clearly not full only singles we’re going out. He wouldn’t even let me go golf the back nine even though it was wide open. This isn’t the first time this has happened either. Customer service is a complete joke at this course.
Really need a course Marshall to move play along. Long waits between tees - often as much as 20 minutes.

Very nice course 2 very different 9s back 9 is the coolest 9 holes of golf I've played so far in my life
Better deal!
The guys at the course were great. We received twilight rates much lower than our booking suggested. We had an amazing low price meal on the deck before our game! Cart included in cost (required for back 9). Just sone work on cart path needed. Otherwise a great date!
Golf was great, bathrooms need cleaning desperately, the range balls full of Mud.
Unique course. A must play
Good course for any golfer. Front nine is a relatively easy play. Back nine is more like target golf. Stunning views on back nine. Great course overall.
Needs maintenance
Maintenance is not up to par. 36C temperatures and no refreshment cart. I won their open in 1992 when it was only 9 holes. Back nine has a challenging layout but there is still winter kill in late Aug. I was disappointed.
Great mix of hole challenges
Front 9 plays well and fairly open but when moving up to back 9 must be ready for tougher and narrow fairways with blind shots and layups necessary. Easy to lose a few balls.
Not good.
The old nine maintenance has gone down. Back nine has a good design but lacks money or energy for maintenance. Example is winter kill still on the green in late August. Really hot day (35c) and no refreshment cart. I was even hoping to see a trophy case since I won their open in 1992. None to be seen. I probably will not go back since it’s over an hour drive.
