Get ready to rumble!
This is my childhood golf course, the place where we put our green fees in a wooden box on the honour system and played on sand greens that had to be redressed by the players after putting out. It’s come a long way from there, with a supposed easy front 9 and a challenging back. Few courses rival this layout. Be prepared to use every club in your bag. Get over the loss of a few golf balls quickly. Enjoy the ride in-spite of the potholes, speed bumps, ponds, trees, traps and ravines along the way.
goofy layout
Tiny greens that were really slow. Blind shots galore. Front nine was fairly easy. From back tees it's 2,800 yards approximately. Back nine is over 3,600 and includes a 600-yard par-5 that's ridiculously tight. No rakes in traps and they were not filled with white sand as advertised online. I won't be back.
The BEST way to end my Golf Season
Absolutely amazing warm day to close out the year. The course was in GREAT condition for October 19. Thank you for staying open after the Thanksgiving weekend. Had a Fabulous Game. ..... see you next year !
Absolutely One of my Favorite Golf Courses
I LOVE ..... Silver Sands ! Almost each and every fairway is secluded and private as you are completely tucked into Nature. It's an extremely challenging and fun track that will test your golf skills, shots and course management. The staff is always friendly & accommodating. I would definitely reccomended this course.
Beautiful Hidden Gem in Alberta
Silversands is one of my favorite Golf Courses. It is extremely challenging and loads of FUN. The best feature of this course is how secluded most of the fairways are from each other. You are nestled into Nature and away from the sounds of the city. Definitely worth the drive from St. Albert.
Eddie
It is a nice course with lots if hills , some water hazards. Challenging course with attractive rates.
Always a good time with amazing people. Have never had a bad experience (outside my score 🤣). Would definitely recommend this course to anyone.
Silver Sands deserves a gold star!
The course is in excellent condition considering the lack of rain thus far this spring. Fairways are quite dry and you get lots of roll so keep the ball low!
Great day
Easy going, relaxed round on a weekday. Nice course with some challenging holes.
The greens are great
This course is a tale of two nines. The front nine is short but challenging and well maintained. The back nine needs work as the fairways are either dry, lumpy and pot bunkers are in desperate need of attention.
A HIDDEN GEM
I absolutely LOVE the quiet, private and isolated feeling of playing Silver Sands. An amazing escape from the city. Worth the drive out to enjoy this secluded course. The only one thing I wish they had is a Driving Range .
