Silver Creek Golf Course - North/South Course

A short 25 minute drive south of Camrose brings you to the entrance of the Silver Creek Golf & RV Resort. The half‑kilometer drive into the property is framed by towering trees along a gravel road, not quite the romance of Magnolia Lane, but still an inviting approach. A bit of dust control, though, would go a long way toward elevating that first impression. 

A unique clubhouse, fashioned from a barn that has stood on the property since 1912, incorporates both the pro shop and the restaurant. Silver Creek is home to 27 holes of parkland golf and the three separate nines, built in three stages are titled South (1992), North (1997) and West (2004). Regardless of which combination of nines you play, par will be 72. Today I was playing the West and South courses. The course maintains a good sized stable of 2025 Yamaha golf carts.

This is a traditional parkland style layout and features three sets of tees, with distances that can range from 5,327 yards to 6,566 yards at the tips, which makes it perfect for pretty well every visiting golfer. Large, level tee boxes compliment each hole. Fairways  offered a good mix of straight away as well as some that turned left or right. The Kentucky Bluegrass fairways are generously wide, and were running hard and fast.  

Hazards, both water and bunkers are scattered throughout the course in spots where they can easily come into play.

The bent grass greens are comfortably large targets with the usual contours and undulations. The greens were receptive to well struck approach shots and putts rolled consistently on both the West and South nines.

There are no significant elevation changes to speak of at Silver Creek, as the routing moves across mostly level ground, leaving the mature trees and scattered hazards to provide the course’s character and definition.

Overall course conditioning, the consistent playing surfaces, the affordability and friendly service all lend themselves to provide for a fun and fair test of golf for players of all skill levels.

Very shocked and suprised by the lack of upkeep on their equipment. the first golf cart I was handed I dont think had been cleaned at ALL this year!! So I went back to the club house and let them know and was handed a different cart keys. As I passed the carts looking for my assigned number, I noticed ALL the cart, were flity dirty, over run with spiders, past spilled drinks, other persons garage and dirt and dust. If you can imagine a golf cart sitting in a field of homeless person for 6 months then you get the picture.

Silver creek golf course is one of the most well maintained golf courses I have played at. Though it is about an hour drive from my residence , I will definitely come back here every season.

Always loved playing here. Amazing deal through golfnow to play championship course. Highly recommend this course to everyone. Will be back soon few times this season.

Have a trailer on site for the past 16 years.

Almost end of September and the course is still in great shape. Staff at pro shop will bend over backwards to assist you and accommodate you in any way they can. Will be back many times before it closes and of course every year after that

Very well care for golf course with a campground on site. Played with my husband and we both enjoyed the course. It was a very wet year for the area and the course has stood up well and much better than some others in the area.

We are walkers and it is a great walking course with well defined fairways. They offered a two for one Thursday (not sure if that is a regular offer or a late season special), but at $40 walking even the regular rate was a good deal for what the course offers. We did not eat on site, but the menu looked fairly extensive and we heard raves about the pizza. We stayed in the campground which offers full services and was our site was clean and level. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our CampNPlay and would recommend you give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Course was in very good condition. Green were quite quick and rolled fairly well. Nice place for so late season rounds.

Fairways & greens in top shape. Friendly course but still has challenges too. Bit of a drive but worth the trip.

This was our first time golfing at this course, although we had some steady rain over the last couple of days the course conditions were still fair. We really enjoyed our time and I’m definitely coming back to play again. Loves the set up of each hole and had a lot of fun playing.

You wont be disappointed good pace, really good conditions of course.
