Sylvan Lake Golf and Country Club

No driving range. Never has been a driving range. Restaurant closed 2 weeks ago. Management does not appear to know how to operate a golf course. Course needs new ownership that cares.

Ground repairs take seasons, not weeks. Greenskeeper built new tee boxes that serve no purpose and are not used, but he can't fix obvious repairs elsewhere on the course.

I was a member here for 3 decades previously, and for that I feel shame.

Unprofessional staff that does not honor tee times booked in advance. I called and emailed this course a month prior to our annual boys golf trip to book to back to back tee times the afternoon of Friday, July 25th and I received an email confirmation that the tee times were booked. when the 8 of us arrived at the course that afternoon, the two young kids at the pro shop said we did not have a tee time, there is a group event going on, they didn't have enough carts for us anyways and we couldn't walk the course. they refused to work with us and left us without an afternoon tee time in the middle of our long weekend golf trip. I was beyond frustrated with the lack of corporation we we received and unwillingness with right the wrong especially because the course looked like a ghost town when we arrived and we were shocked that they couldn't squeeze us in, just an absolute joke!

The staff here are Amazing, right from the walk in to check in, to the snack shack at the turn around! The gal in the snack shack always remembers us, which is really nice! The food is too notch as well!

Played on a Saturday and just wanted 9 holes weather looking bleak and then find out $60 for 9, took a cart playing partner can’t walk it. This could be a great course but no money has been spent in 10 plus years, carts don’t even have windshields. I could go on, so recommend somewhere else, “Alberta Springs” much better deal.

Nice course to navigate with water challenges along the way. A few places the fairways were waterlogged, however the tee off boxes & greens never looked better!

Had a fun day golfing.

This golf course has the nicest south facing deck and an ice cold beer on the deck after golf was perfect

If we hadn't booked with golf now and paid at a discount we would have been very disappointed. The fairways were not mowed and not very well manicured and the greens still had lots of winter kill and good putting was impossible. We will not play this course again there are a lot others in the area in better shape.

The course had record of my tee time, but did not have record that I prepaid thru golf now. I also didn't receive a payment statement from golf now, just a tee time confirmation. They took my word for it that I had paid so no cost- just a little awkward

First time playing this course in 20 yrs and the last time for maybe 20 more. Fairways are in attocious condition. very disappointing turf management and will not recommend to anyone I like to play there.

Great afternoon on one of my favourite courses. I've played Sylvan since the 70s.

Had a great experience playing the Sylvan Lake Golf and Country Club. The course was in great shape and the pace and scenery was terrific. I would recommend the course to anyone looking to play a relaxed 18 holes in a great environment. Its not a long course but the challenge was there to hit the ball well.
