About

Vulcan Golf & Country Club sits on the outskirts of the town. The layout sprawls across gently rolling terrain accented with stands of mature trees. The course measures to just over 6,300 yards from the back tees. It's gentle enough for beginners but also great for more advanced players who are looking for a casual round that can be played in less than four hours. The golf course starts with a gentle front nine with water only coming into play twice. Don't be lulled into a sense of comfort though, the course becomes progressively more difficult, culminating with the signature 18th hole. Water appears again on six holes on Vulcan's back nine, including on the final par-3 hole. Water borders the entire left side and there are also a slew of bunkers protecting the large green.

A great small town course close to calgary, front nine is tight with big trees, back nine is a desert style, was in great condition for this late in the year, the leaves were to be expected on the front nine.

the course was in good shape, some casual water on two fairways on the back 9 but it really didn't bother. the greens were very smooth and true.
