About
Vulcan Golf & Country Club sits on the outskirts of the town. The layout sprawls across gently rolling terrain accented with stands of mature trees. The course measures to just over 6,300 yards from the back tees. It's gentle enough for beginners but also great for more advanced players who are looking for a casual round that can be played in less than four hours. The golf course starts with a gentle front nine with water only coming into play twice. Don't be lulled into a sense of comfort though, the course becomes progressively more difficult, culminating with the signature 18th hole. Water appears again on six holes on Vulcan's back nine, including on the final par-3 hole. Water borders the entire left side and there are also a slew of bunkers protecting the large green.

Last game this year in Canada?
Very windy, back nine was not fun. Behind an older group (4 some) who held up about 4 groups, would not let anyone through. Kind of frustrating but what can you do?

A lot of leaves on the front nine making it difficult. But the back nine is a nice circuit.
Lots of fun
course has challenging areas. grounds are kept very good. they are working on the course for next year and that adds to the challenge. the course has a leaf blower so that is really nice at this time of year to keep the leaves off the fairways.
Great layout
Very nice mix of different holes. Greens putt very true. Very friendly people around this place.

Coarse is great condition, greens are fast.
Front 9 is older with mature trees. Back 9 is open and could be windy. Back 9 is newer and has big Greens.
Good value for your money
Great staff good food and always enjoy playing the course good pace usually and less wind this year makes for a great day.
The weather is more like fall weather.
The course is in great shape and the weather is changing to be more fall like. I was not very busy so we had a very nice round.
