About

Holes 18

Style Parkland
Par 72
Length 7157 yards
Slope 130
Rating 73.0

Bootleg Gap Golf boasts a total of 27 holes, one championship 18-hole course and a par-34 nine-hole course. The courses sprawl across the St. Mary River Valley, taking advantage of the ruggedly beautiful terrain. The Championship Course has an interesting mix of spacious driving holes and tighter holes that play along the river where accuracy is a priority. There are many towering trees throughout the golf course that will further test your accuracy. The signature hole is the par-3 12th hole, which marks the beginning of a tricky three-hole stretch that plays right along the banks of the river. The challenging 12th requires a tee shot, often into prevailing wind, to a large, undulating green located 50 feet below that is also heavily guarded by bunkers. In addition to the two courses, Bootleg Gap Golf also boasts one of the best practice facilities in the area.

Bootleg Gap Golf Course: A Must-Play in the Area

Bootleg Gap Golf Course delivers a truly fun and engaging round of golf. The course features a delightful variety of hole layouts that keep players focused from the first tee to the eighteenth green. Classified as a resort-style course, players who find the fairway will almost certainly be rewarded with a flat, inviting lie.

The layout offers an excellent progression, beginning with several open, welcoming holes that are perfect for warming up your game. As the round continues, the course tightens up and introduces more compelling challenges, including impressive elevation changes that demand thoughtful club selection. The greens are medium to large in size, featuring gentle undulation but remaining relatively flat and highly approachable.

A definite highlight of Bootleg Gap is the collection of par 3s, which tend to be the most demanding holes on the property. Most feature elevated tee boxes that add both distance and dramatic visual appeal. The signature hole, the 12th, is particularly memorable, showcasing a dramatic 75-foot drop from an elevated tee down to a well-bunkered green. This spot also offers a picturesque view, making it a perfect photo opportunity.

On the day we played, both the course and the greens were maintained in excellent, pristine condition. Beyond the enjoyable golf experience, the facilities are comprehensive, featuring a full clubhouse, a well-stocked pro shop, a dedicated driving range, and a practice green.

I wholeheartedly recommend Bootleg Gap. Given the superb condition of the course and the fact that they offer one of the best green fee values in the region, this course is an absolute must-play.

Fun course and good value

This course doesn't seem to get the same level of attention that some others in the region get, but it's still really good. It's a fun course, has an interesting mix of holes and is usually in good shape. It also runs a few $$ cheaper than others in the area. I would definitely reccomend giving Bootleg a try. I personally prefer it to Trickle Creek.

Very Scenic Course

I have played this course several times and always look forward to going back. It has some wide open holes, some target holes, some huge elevation changes and great views with flat fairways.

This year unfortunately, the greens were not in the best condition but were O.K.

Good course BUT

Fun layout and good staff but honestly it's hard to justify paying $82 for an early season round on so so conditions and cool weather. This course is living off members and hammering the general public. Not uncommon in BC, but the course is empty after 11am every day and the tee is empty. That's gotta tell you something ! This is good course not a great one. $80 green fees in april is a flashing red sign saying "stay away" unless you can get some type of deal. 4 pm was twilight, another questionable decision by this course. 3 pm and $40 makes more sense

Really nice course in Kimberly

I was a little worried of the booking here but it turned out to be very nice. Staff was friendly and for what we paid...it was really, really worth it. Nice scenic holes and a great test of golf...great condition as well. I wish they had some GPS on the carts but other than that a real gem.
