Spring Golf
The course just opened up after a winter of sleep. Like every that takes a long sleep. When you wake up it takes a minute or two to start to get back to normal. The course wintered great. Very, very little frost burn or ice kill. The course is in great shape for this time of the season with only better condition ahead.
So book around and go and knock the rust off your game.
Remember your just waking up also.
Enjoy
Fall golf
It's Fall Golf in Manitoba. Greens are slow but good shape.
Fairways are thick and have a autumn colours scattered on them and the rough is best left alone. The course is in good shape considering it's Fall and people need to remember that.
Go out and enjoy while we can because Fall turns to winter and we all know what that means.
It was very late season and the T boxes were really beat up. In many cases you were hitting off of dirt, all the grass was gone.
Great Fall Course
It's Fall time and the leaves are changing and the colors are wonderful. Unless you're golf ball is buried under them.
There's no specific colored golf ball that shows up better against the colour's of Mother Fall. If there is please let me know!
The only way to help yourself is to stay on the fairways.
This course is challenging during the summer wait until you try Fall golf.
Greens are slow which they should be for this time of the year and very few leaves. Great job Greens Keepers.
They will be perfect for the Spring season. Fairways are in great shape and the rough, don't go there. Pocket an extra ball if you are a Scrambler like me.
Book a round and go play some great Fall golf and enjoy Mother Fall.
Fall Play
Even if it's fall time don't stop playing.
Don't let the leaves turn you into a TV screen.
Get out and play and this is a good course is try.
Greens are still in great shape. Fairway's are in great shape and even will give you a little extra roll. The rough is longer then normal but it is fall Golf.
Book a round and go and play. It's a long winter in Manitoba.
Time to Play Fall Golf
Even with the leaves falling and the wind picking up you need to play this course
The Greens are Fall quick. (Just a little slower than a normal summer day). Putting is still very firm and line is a little softer. Fairways are in great shape and rough is longer than usual. Even with it being fall time this is still a course that should be played.
Brutal signing
The signing was terrible. When I'm on the tee box I should beable to look over at a sign and see where I'm hitting. Not here. Almost every course map was facing the wrong way. Also very confusing driving around. Got turned around 2 times. Good thing we took advantage the hot deal and didn't waste too much money
Never golf here
We just played this course and I have never been so disappointed in any course I have played like this one. First few holes were greens they put in the fairway as they had aerated the greens and covered them in sand, but failed to tell anyone. Then the fairways are as hard as a rock and you are hard pressed to take a divot and the greens that you were able to use were so hard you were unable to get the ball to stop and it just bounced like it was the cart path. We played Oakwood course the week before and it was amazing, fairways were well groomed and taking a divot was no problem at all, and the greens were the best I have played on this year of all the courses. My advice is never play this course, even for free, very frustrating and extremely poor shape.
Gone Down Hill
Over the years have played this course and have not seen the course in such poor condition. The fairways used to be lush but alot is like cow pasture. The greens were in decent shape. Tee boxes were in very poor shape. Hard ground and not much grass. On the plus side the couple working the kiosk were very nice. Play else where till they get their act together.
Just a nice place to Play
The starter and greens keeper's deserve a big pat on the back. The course is in great shape and we'll maintained.
Great Job everyone.
Go and Play
I was paired up with another couple who were great to be with.
I have played this course a few times this summer and each time it seemed to get better. If you haven't played this course yet Go and Play. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
Good golfing
Although the course was a little dry, it was very enjoyable. Numerous crossings of the river enhances the difficulty of the course. When out in the open, wind could be a problem and we were happy that the weather was perfect.
