Netley Creek Golf and Country Club

A nice course laid out in trees mostly with some water crossings to make the challenge a little more difficult.

The staff are great. The course is a good test for all level of golfers. Aesthetically pleasing place to spend a morning or afternoon.

Greens were quick and deceiving,also very hard.

Fairways were hard so you got a nice roll on very hit. Only problem and it's not the course's problem that can mean further off the course with a good roll or bounce.

Rough is exactly what you think that might mean. So stay on the fairway.

So book around for you and a friend and enjoy.

I had heard good things about the golf course and after playing a round it is now one of my favourites

The pacr of play or horrendous! Save your time go somewhere else

I fully understand a busy golf course and I had been a member of a private club that was always busy and would only play 4.5 hours. But this small town course takes slow play to another level. While the cart girl is amazingly friendly....there is no marshal for pace of play and I stopped after 2 hrs playing 6 short holes! Save your time and play Warren or Bel Acres.

Fairways are easy to hit from but stay out of the rough.

Greens make you think you need glasses. Keep you guessing.

Course was too wet. Front 9 holes were closed due to flooding.

Initially, the golfnow booking said only 9 holes were open (so play 2 x 9 holes for 18). But, when I got to the course they mentioned their are fully open. One issue was some holes still have ground under repair conditions due to the spring flooding/rain. One hole in particular where this comes into play is the 8th (par 5). There is a downward hill starting at about 200 yds. The 150 marker is on a downhill lie. For me the shot is to lay up around 100 yds to get over the creek and hit the green. But, the ground is under repair. So, take a shot from 200 yds on top of the hill or 150 yds on a downhill lie. Tough shot. Other than that the course was in good condition. BTW, they have brand new electric golf carts.

Greens were firm and faster than expected which was great. Some fairways and rough need a little TLC so hopefully new ownership will address this in the future but overall good course. I found it challenging as every hole is pretty tight so accuracy is key for this one.

We were able to play holes 3-18 as course was very wet. There were a lot of areas fenced off where you would have to walk in to get your ball but it was so wet and slimy mud you did not want to walk in there. Hopefully we get some drying weather
