Didn’t know what to expect
1st time playing here as many when looking for a tee time, Glengarry , hour away not the worst drive but have closer options, and best review was 8 years ago so 2 seasons pass and finally booked a tee time . Round was great , fun , challenging, risk reward, excellent views , everything a great round has to offer fall colours in full swing and beverage cart that passes by many times . Will be back for sure great course
Gem
Had the pleasure of playing here Saturday for the 1st time, great experience what a gem , will definitely be returning top 5 in eastern Ontario that I’ve played this season well done . Cheers
This is a nice course
This is a nice course. Well maintained. Very clean bathrooms.
The holes are a little strange as tee shot cross.
We really enjoyed playing here and would definitely go back one day.
Sound as an Irish Pound!!!
Admittedly without a GPS or directions, getting here would be a bit difficult, but it doesn't take away from the beauty of this course.
The front and back 9 start adjacent to one another, and the first hole is a wide open par 4 (just as the 10th is). The challenges vary from narrow fairways and approaches, to the temptation to cut a dog leg, to driving a short par 4.
The slope for the whites (where I played) is a 123, but don't let it deter you. This course is excellent for working on all facets of your game. Most of the greens were nice and big, and this particular day, pin placement was not too sadistic (thank you by the way to the groundskeepers for that), and the pins have the red/white/blue flags for front/middle/back pin placements, and the 200, 150, & 100 yard markers are all in the center of the fairways.
I highly recommend this course to anyone looking for a good course to play, this is the one. It's about a 45 minute drive East of Ottawa, and I drove about a hour & 15-20 minutes to play here.
Very nice course with some challenfes.
The course was in great condition. The greend were a little long so they were very slow. I would play there again for sure.
Nice Course, needs a Marshall
This is a really nice course with several challenging holes. The layout is quite open should you be an "errant" golfer! It is quite possible to score well if you can control your shot direction & distance. It can be very busy on the weekends ,and, a Marshall enforcing Golf etiquette would speed things up quite a bit.
Nice layout with slow greens
This course is quite scenic with a large creek in play on many of the holes. There are rolling hills and a few blind tee shots. The pace of play was excruciatingly slow although I had played GGC before and it wasn't a problem. The greens however were among the slowest I had ever played. Improvement in green speed would make GGC a terrific place to play.
Nice course
The course is in great condition and enjoyable to play. Too many slow players on the weekend, it took us over 6 hours to play our round of 18 holes. Maybe it is better during the week. Otherwise very nice and worth it.
This course offers good value for the money.
Very affordable course with still a challenge.
The greens are in great shape but would gain to get a more frequent cut so as increase their speed!!!
Good challenge in a short package
The amenities are not elaborate but the course has a challenging design with doglegs and obstacles well placed. The weather was not cooperating in the days prior (rain for 5 consecutive days) but the ground crew did a nice job of keeping the course as dry as they could and playable.
The course offers moderate challenge.
We have been playing the course several time for the past two years. Each whole represent a different challenge. The greens are in perfect condition . The environment is spectacular and pleasant.. The staff is courteous.
We will be back.
