Tarandowah Golfers Club
About
Tarandowah Golfers Club has a unique layout that closely resembles traditional Scottish links golf courses. There are undulating greens and sloped fairways that are made up of bentgrass and wispy fescue. Although there are no water hazards, Tarandowah Golfers Club boasts more than 100 deep, sod-faced bunkers that prove to be just as challenging if not more. Strong winds blow through the golf course, a factor that will affect your game if not careful. Tarandowah Golfers Club has several tricky uphill par 4s, but its longest and one of its more challenging holes is the par-5 14th, which stretches to 588 yards.

Great time
Great challenging course.
Finished round in 4 hours 10 minutes.
Course in great shape.
Friendly staff.
Great price on golf.
Really challenging course
Dude, play a links course for the first time. It's super tough. You gotta hit straight, or you're screwed. You should practice your bunker shots before you go, 'cause you'll need 'em. That fescue is a pain. I'm definitely coming back, though.
The course needs some irrigation
I’ve heard such great things about this course and it was a big disappointment. The course badly needed to be watered, especially the tee boxes and greens. You could barely get a tee in the ground they were so hard. The greens were just as bad as we watched good approach shots bounce off of them like it was hitting a cart path.
Course also seemed understaffed which was weird for a Sunday in the summer.
Overall, didn’t find it worth the money to play there.
Best Greens in Tillsonburg area
The greens here are the best in this area. Very true to how they look and feel. Fairway bunkers are deadly and must be respected. Overall my favourite course in the area!
Scottish Links in the middle of Canada’s Ontario Farmlands
My first time playing a true links style course and it didn’t disappoint. From the first hole to the last this course is a great experience. For early June in an area that had a difficult Winter, the course was in good shape.
I have always wanted to play a true Links Golf Course and this was my best chance. Thanks to GolfNow, I was able to get a great time at a great rate. Now that I have played this course I will return.
This course, while there were some rough spots, was in good shape and the greens were rolling really nicely. The bunkers were amazing and in fantastic shape. I was in 12/14, I can’t remember.. The only bad part was the lack of care from the golfers playing. At least 10 bunkers I was in hadn’t been raked properly if at all with foot prints all over.
I was looking to get a time at this course for a few days and then I tried GolfNow, and it worked to perfection. Got a great time and rate. This made the experience that much better.
I will play Tarandowah again, maybe even before I leave the London, ON area. Lastly I have to praise the Staff. All were happy and friendly. Thank you so much!!!
Nice track but over priced
Course was as expected. True traditional links style and gives a great representation of what it would be like to play in Scotland. Fescue was fair as could always find balls that were hit in there. Carts are old but worked fine. Booking is not easy, can book a week in advance on their website and get a discount if you pay up front. If you want to book more than a week out then can go to GolfNowand book further out but costs more, have to prepay plus all the fees. Worked out to $113 for a Saturday morning. Way over priced. Came into club house after front nine around 10:45, no hotdogs or sandwiches. Beer and chips only. Clubhouse is very basic. We did enjoy our round. Group of 4 walkers in front of us holding us and other groups up on every hole. But did get 18 done in 4hrs 20 minutes. Which was a surprise. Without them we probably could have been done well under 4 hours.
Fun course
The staff were absolutely excellent and friendly. Hadnt played there for about 20 years. I enjoyed the course. It is difficult but was fairly easy to find the ball in the fescue. Was a wet and windy day so look forward to going back in better weather. Would definitely recommend playing here.
Always a pleasure
Tarandowah is a fun and challenging course. It is in surprisingly good shape given the time of year. I would happily play it anytime.
