Fabulous
Played with my husband recently while staying in town for a wedding. The course was in wonderful shape and was incredibly scenic. More difficult then we'd anticipated. My husband loved it.
The restaurant/bar in the clubhouse is terrific as well. Very nice, reasonably-priced menu and friendly service. Recommend sitting on the patio for a beautiful view of the 18th hole.
Played the weekend for the masters the course was in top shape. Really stepped it up.
Nice
Played early morning. Outside staff were very friendly. Course is nice.
A true gem of a golf course. It is worth the drive down the 105, and the food is fantastic! Best place to eat in town. Grab your golf clubs and fishing rods and head down the road to Red Lake!!
Special
I am originally from Red Lake, Ontario. I have golfed this course for over thirty years and retired a few years ago. I return every year to visit and make sure I play as much as I can. This course is special. The last couple of years especially...it gets noticeably better and better. Good job to Chris and grounds crew.
Good
Well kept interesting course. People were friendly.
Annual Adventure
Been coming to this area from Iowa for 30 years now on annual fishing trips with the boys to Trout River. We golf every year here and talk to our friendly Canadians. The course gets better and better. A real treat for our trip.
Tournament Level
Came for the two day Classic Tournament - the course looked amazing and played very well, especially with the lack of rain. Challenging and the quality was top tier. Above and beyond the other courses in northern Ontario. The greenskeeper is good and it shows.
Very nice
First time playing this far north. Came in for a fishing trip - golfed on the last day. Wow. The grounds crew really have done a great job. Hats off to you. Beautiful course, friendly staff. Definitely a highlight to our trip.
Excellent
The course is set on land with great views. Considering where it is you would expect the course to be small, but its 18 holes are spacious and immaculate. The care put into the course is noticeable! Friendly staff. Happy players. Great atmosphere. Excellent experience.
First time playing this course. Good layout, beautiful grounds. Amazing a course like this exists this far north. Will be back this summer as much as possible.
Gem Of A Course
At the end of hwy 105 is a hidden gem of a course. It’s one of the best I’ve played! The staff are always accommodating and friendly and always serving great food!
Secret Northern Gold
Somehow, tucked at the end of a very long winding road north, lies a beautiful challenging insanely well maintained 18-hole course. The vibe cannot be beat. The staff are friendly, the food is excellent, the community is wonderful, and the course is beautiful. Little do people know, they have a Master Superintendent there working magic with a non-profit budget and set of unique landscape challenges being near a literal gold mine, on a windy lake that doubles as a runway for float planes, and weather uniquely northern. If you haven’t played this course - go. It’s almost too good to share.
