Enjoyment
Oh yes, people fantastic to newbies and course great. So relaxing. And the food at the restaurant, out of this world. Best food I've had since being in Canada for fourteen years.
Booking
I tried booking on line at $20.00 not accepted.
At the course they charged $23.00. When I questioned the price the additive was take or leave it. Considering there was hardly anyone there I would have expected a grateful attitude.
I wish I had left
I booked online at $20.00. Questionable system.
I paid for the game at the club and was told it was $23.00. Staff attitude- take it or leave it!!!!!!!!
Considering the course was not busy there should not have been a disagreement with the price.
All the local golf courses need to take business advice from the White Squirrel Golf Course in St Joseph. I will stick to playing there and pay the extra!
Great Views of the Maitland
Greens were a little bumpy but the view of the Maitland River caught my attention. Great value for 9 holes.
Nice 9 hole course
Really enjoyed playing this course with my wife. Excellent course for an easy nine. Quick play and nice to walk. Right along the maitland river with great views and scenery. Great price with GolfNow. Will be playing that course many times this year.
Thanks GolfNow
Goose Poop
Good thing I still have the frost scraper in the car because our shoes and cart tires were caked in goose poop. This course is a good lay out and close to town for a quick round but it is just no being kept up. The sand traps are more like rock traps and the greens are long and incedibly slow. The goose population on the final three holes are ruining the course and filling the fairways and greens with poop. Pretty disgusting
You had better be a goose lover
sand traps have no sand in them. Wheels of cart and my shoes were coated in goose poop at the end of the round. Goose poop is everywhere
Customer Service
Thank you to the Manager at the Maitland Golf Course for being so kind and thoughtful to my son and I… Good job and thank you
A great round with family
Such a pretty and well maintained course! My daughters and family had a lot of fun. We definitely will be back.
Cheap and Cheerful
9 hole course approx 2850 yards built in 1921. Played after some wet fall weather so fairways were soft and grass on the long side so lift and clean was required. Greens were in good condition but the traps were very thin on sand. For the mid to high handicapper, all but one of the par 3s were over 180 yards, the 5th and 7th holes being over 200 yards which is a bit cruel! Small practice green and a net station with 2 mats is available for warm up. The club course dining room overlooks the course with a view of the Maitland River and I'm told the food there is quite good.
