Beautiful Course! Beautiful Day!

I played here growing up, and moved away. Upon moving back I decided to play at maitland because I thought it was the cheapest. So i bought a 10 play which is 220. Which you could pay less and go to woodlands and it’s 215 and have a choice of front and back 9. And it’s a way nicer maintained course. About four plays in my friend and I are walking, we have two 60+ ladies behind us walking, and Behind them two men on golf carts who are in 30s. We’re on the 8th hole 250 yards in fairway, the ladies are just teeing off. We’re both on our second shot, the “marshall” An elderly man is watching and my friend takes once practice swing. Then lining up his club face with the ball. Not even 5 seconds total. The marshal screams from 20 yards away. “SWING TODAY”. Which made us actually take longer??We both turned around in shock. We are more then far enough away from these women, and definitely not holding them up. If anything the ladies were holding up the men behind them. But we’re on the 8th hole we have 1 hole left give it a break!!!It was the most unprofessional thing I’ve ever seen. Needless to say we finished the round and threatened to go above him so we were both refunded in full and got my money back for the rest of the plays.

Had a good experience here. Feel tee times could have been spaced out slightly longer (this may have been us being Too slow but we let 2 groups pass us). Genuinely enjoyed our time here. Will be back again

Long, challenging par 3's, beautiful par 5's along the picturesque Maitland river - this course has everything !

This is a great course and the course is well managed and maintained and good value. The negative is the number of geese and their droppings, especially on the 8th fairway. It is not so much an issue with a cart but walking ... I am confident that this issue will be dealt with so I can continue to keep my membership, Even so, I still enjoy playing this course!

Fairways could have been in better condition, not well maintained. Easy to walk the nine holes except between 8 and 9, was teeing off against those on hole 8 in opposite direction

Hi the fairways were abit dry but the greens were ok and overall the course was in good shape. Recommend it to anybody to play at least once a nice course.

How can you complain about that

This course was in very poor condition. Most of the grass was dead on the upper part of the course. The riverside part of the course was completely covered in goose crap. The traps were unbelievably a mess.This is not worth the time to play this course.

Great course to play, amazing views, great staff in the ProShop as well as the restaurant. Very friendly people and amazing food at The Walkom Family Kitchen to boot. 10/10 would go back again for the golf and food!

If you are looking for a quick 9 holes while visting the Goderich area, Maitland is a must play. A fun course with a variety of holes, challenges all golfers but is still a great place for beginners. Bunkers are in ok shape, just stay out of them and you'll have a blast!
