Fox Golf Club

For the price we paid on golf now we were surprised how well the course was kept. Open and forgiving course but tricky with lots of hills and well designed greens. Only suggestion would be that they need to have more options for food at the snack hut as they only had chocolate bars or one kind of chip, even a hot dog would be nice.

Teed off at 12:04 on a beautiful Friday in September. Just the two of us in a cart. It was our first time on this course so we spent a little time enjoying the view and trying to find the next hole on occasion but still played in 3:40. There are some lengthy holes and some tight fairways when playing from the back tees. The course was in excellent condition with the exception of some bumpy spots on the greens. Very rural, nice and quite and great value.

Management attitude towards this GolfNow client was poor and unwelcoming. My tee time was middle of week and there were no other golfers around, that I could see. When I presented the GolfNow printout confirmation, the manager wanted me to wait until other golfers arrived before letting me golf. After waiting 10 minutes past my own tee time, he relented and let me golf solo with a cart.
No golf marshal during weekdays. There were golfers ahead of me who were pulling the flags out but not replacing them. After 9 holes I stopped at clubhouse to tell manager and was told "We don't have a marshal during the week". Nothing was done for me I had to play the last 9 holes picking up the flags.

Greens were quick, soft and true
Sight lines tricky...some blind shots from tee and approach.
Rough very thick but short.
Disappointed with power carts....old and poorly maintained.
Food services very good.
Limited pro shop.

Awesome reception. Very accommodating. Not rigid and inflexible like some snobby courses. Some of the carts have seen a lot of use but they work.
Rough was cut down when I played so very forgiving but I can see it being rather challenging if left to grow a little. Grass length all very consistent so that was really good. Look of the course good. Tee to green not so hard but once on the greens, look out - so hard to read. Greens were excellent, true rolls, most large enough but none just flat. My round was mid day so they were pretty fast. Really good deal even without the Golfnow "hot deal".

A good challenge for any player. Par 4s 5s and 3s all a good test.

good value with golf now booking albeit pace of play can be slow

A friend and I tried to squeeze a round in before the rain. Was amazed that despite all the rain we have gotten over the last few weeks the course was still in really good shape and not overly soggy. The grass is mint pretty much everywhere and layout is very nice. If you are looking for a big clubhouse or anything, move along, this is a course that is all about the golf.

The ground in the fairway and rough was way too hard to hit a proper shot. Lost a few balls in the uncut rough and too much money for a Saturday walking and too much overall for what you get! Wont go back!

One of the toughest greens in the area with gentle slopes making them tough to read. Par 3s are long and tricky. They can make your score add up in a hurry. The 14th and 15th are blind shots requiring precise shot making for your second shot to make it to the green possible . Best cart girl "Mary" rated in southwest Ontario. Great value and a lot of fun to play.

Course is a little gem. Great Greens.
Great Staff. Good Design Lot of improvements happened in last few seasons. well worth a visit.
