Ingersoll Golf and Country Club

About
The classic design of Ingersoll Golf Club appeals to both avid and casual golfers. The layout is a good mix of holes, tricky doglegs as well as straightaways like the par-5 ninth, which is possible to reach in two. Mature trees line most of the holes and there is the occasional multi-tiered green to watch out for. Water makes an occasional appearance but the far more worrisome element of the round is the strategic bunkering that protects the greens. Ingersroll Golf Club's signature hole is the par-4 third. It features a small elevated green but it is doable with two good shots. The golf course ends with one of its toughest holes, a par 4 whose green is heavily protected on both sides by bunkers.

Bumpy Ride
The cart we had was in pretty rough shape. The windshield was broken and rattled constantly over the somewhat rough uneven fairways and cart paths. Pace of play was a bit slow until the marshal prodded the 4-some ahead of us who eventually let us play through on the 13th. The course was pretty dried out in spots off the fairway. we enjoyed a nice meal and drinks in their pleasantly cool dining room overlooking the course.
Fast Greens
Beautiful day, great company. Teed off on time, never waiting, fairways and greens were great.
Love the course !
Definitely play again
Great course
This course is challenging with some very nice scenic holes . The course is in very good shape .
Beautiful old course
Challenging front 9 withe narrow fairways and lots of hills. Back is significantly more forgiving.
Lovely mature course with massive pine trees
Great course
Well maintained.
Great staff and good value.
Play This Course While You Can
i’ve been playing Ingersoll at least a few times a year for more years that I care to count (okay, +40!) and it’s always everything I can handle. I’m a bogey golfer and I find this layout to be just a little above my skill level but I’ve had a fair number of sub 90 rounds out here over the years, along with a few +100’s along the way. Most of the fairways are tight, the greens are often tricky but role true and there’s a good combination of relatively straightforward holes, along with a few beasts. I’m looking at you #3! The price is fair and I’d like to think the course will be here for years to come, unfortunately a housing development is in the works and according to the starter, they’re operating on a year to year basis now. The good news is that money is still being put into it and it remains in excellent shape, If you’ve never played it, or you haven’t in a while, I’d recommend getting out there soon before all that’s left of one of southwestern Ontario’s great golf courses.
Pace of play was very slow.
Too many wacky-layout par 3’s, combined with no ranger on course, resulted in very slow pace. 4.5 hours too long.
