Tarandowah Golfers Club
About
Tarandowah Golfers Club has a unique layout that closely resembles traditional Scottish links golf courses. There are undulating greens and sloped fairways that are made up of bentgrass and wispy fescue. Although there are no water hazards, Tarandowah Golfers Club boasts more than 100 deep, sod-faced bunkers that prove to be just as challenging if not more. Strong winds blow through the golf course, a factor that will affect your game if not careful. Tarandowah Golfers Club has several tricky uphill par 4s, but its longest and one of its more challenging holes is the par-5 14th, which stretches to 588 yards.

Links Style with a Twist.
This course is one of my favorites. Smart play around this place will net you good scores. Keep it in the fairway and play smart rewards will follow. The staff here are incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable. If you are in the area, play this course!
Great layout.
Some challenging holes. Need to keep it out of the fescue.
Tarandowah
Great course although it can get dry real quick in the absence of rain.
Great deal via GolfNow.
Super hard course.
This course is tough. It's a links course, so it's super windy, hilly, and has tons of bunkers. The staff are awesome. I just think the green fee is a bit much. That's the only thing stopping me from playing there more.
Horrendous
I have been playing this course for over 15 years and it's present condition is by far the worst I have ever seen it. Sparce grass on the fairways leads me to think that little or no fertilizer was used. Greens were aerated 3 weeks ago without being top dressed and this has led to greens being of varying speeds. I was very disappointed in thee overall condition of the course
Tarandowah mid week play
This course is everything it is reputed to be in terms of a true to Links style of play. The course is hardened earth, fast and windswept on most days. On the rare day When the wind is down you have to take advantage because they are few. The greens are grainy in the spring which can add to the challenge.
I have played here since it’s opening year and it never disappoints.
Great layout. Poor conditions
Course layout was nice but the conditions were not great. They also didn’t let us know that carts were not allowed. So I only could play 9 holes with my bad knee. But paid for 18. They wouldn’t give me a raincheck
poor greens
Course was good but the greens had been aerated and not top dressed or cut. Made putting impossible.
Tarandowah
Had a great time playing here. Considering the time of year the greens were pretty good. The greens were firm and quick. The fairways and tee blocks could use some attention. We were there on a super windy day so we got the full links experience. I was able to get a hot deal so it was fantastic value. I am tempted to go back later in the season to see how the course plays under prime conditions.
Great Experience
The ability to online book a teatime was great for us. We were able to get a great course at a really good rate. Excellent experience!
A great day on the links
Played this great course yesterday. Even though it was crazy windy we got around no problem and had a great day. Pace of play was excellent. There was no one else around us. Got a good deal on Golf now we definitely go again one of the best courses in the London area if not the best public course. Will be back soon.
Ok
Although very early in the season, the turf conditions were ok but the bunkers are needing a lot of attention
Early spring round
Gonna give it a 5 star because I’ve played it in the summer and it’s a great course but if I hadn’t gotten. Hot deal I find it absurd to be charging 80 bucks still for the current quality of the course right now mud everywhere standing water on half the course and bunkers unplayable during the summer it’s great but that right now is an absurd price especially considering the only staff were the 3 in the pro shop course was packed and halfway house wasn’t even open
Like playing through a mine field
This course is like a chess match. With the fescue and the bunkering you could quickly be adding two to three strokes. The temptation is to try to reach in regulation as there’s some pretty long holes, The undulations, hard ground and gusting wind was like trying to plod my way through a mine field of pot bunkers and fescue. I kept choosing to play punchy shots for bogey and hope for the odd up and down which served me well. I was quite happy with my 88 even though it raised my handicap to a 13.
Love this course - Challenge always accepted.
Terrible Tarandaua
This course was recommended to me.
I do not know why…
Very expensive $120 for a round with a cart.
The “club house” was a garden shed with barely anything in it.
The putting green did not have any mini flags or pins…
There was equipment and garbage all over the starting area. Doors swinging open on equipment sheds that could have easily been closed.
The sand traps were pot holes that were 15 feet tall.
Did I mention it was $120 for a round?! Wild wild price.
No cart person.
Rock hard tee boxes that broke tees when putting them in.
Nothing happening at each hole indicating you spent a bunch of money to play here… a simple metal sign stating the hole number.
No change rooms.
I will never recommend this course to anyone because it has no redeeming qualities.
Would much rather play Kettle creek / echo valley.
