Beautiful setting, tough greens
The Ridge at Manitou is a beautiful course featuring stunning elevation changes, exposed rocks and small, tricky greens. It is a bit of drive from the GTA but well worth it. When we played we weren't allowed in the clubhouse or dining facilities as there was a wedding happening. Someone from the pro shop actually drove up the 18th fairway as we were hitting our approach shots to remind us to "please proceed directly to the parking lot." It seemed a little rude but I never expect the best customer service when playing a private club without a member. Overall it was a great day and I will certainly return as I'm there for the golf, not the service.
Love the elevated tees and the pace of play.
I found the Ridge at Manitou to be a very woman-friendly course. My husband and I drove an hour and a half to get there for 8:30 tee-off only to find out that the greens had been aerated and because of a storm the night before, it was cart path only. Needless to say, we were disappointed but enjoyed the beautiful weather regardless. However, we would like to play it again when it is in pristine condition. Scenery was wonderful and the staff were very helpful.
everything abpout this course was great.
The course was in extremely good condition. The layout is challenging yet fair with ample landing area for tee shots but still requires the ball to be hit in the proper place on the green to score. Only one slightly quirky hole. Visually the course is very pretty with some great views of the lake, granite outcroppings, etc. The staff was very friendly and the clubhouse is spectacular in its layout and location. Food was very good as well.
Excellent course!
No complaints! Beautiful setting for a golf course. Excellent service and great food at the Club house.
Will definately coming back next year.
