A wonderful track right in Barrhaven!
This is a great course, and while short (par 70) it's got plenty of challenges for the golfer due to its layout. Tee shots that miss the green are often punishing due to the mature trees lining the fairways, and while the rough isn't thick (due to a drought) it's thick enough to warrant a bit of thought.
The greens are immaculate! They roll quick and true and honestly they're among the best in the region.
I highly recommend this course in the Ottawa area!
Cedar View review
After a hard rain the course played very well and there were only a couple of areas that water played a part. The greens were good and rolled true to the line. Some dry grass areas but in general the course is in good shape.
Cedar View is good value for $
After a hard rain at 10AM the course was easily playable at 12.30 although still standing water in a few of the bunkers. The greens were very good and soften by the rain. The pace of play was excellent and we were finished in 3 1/2 hours. Good value for $.
Don't rent a cart!
Booked in with a friend. First golf cart broke down before the first tee, so we replaced it. The second had a slow puncture which was almost flat come the end of the round, it splattered around the course where we really thought it wouldn't make it round. When I took it back after our round, the staff member in the pro shop said they knew there were issues with the carts, yet they weren't doing anything about it. I asked for my money back on the cart and was told that wasn't going ro happen at all. The course itself was very average. It appears to not be watered that regularly as all the replacement holes on the greens were very noticeable and they were lots of them. Wouldn't go here again, even if it was free.
They’ve given up
This course simply wants to sell off the land. They have given up on maintenance, and staff.
Course is often log jammed, and no cart girl (drink station) in sight on a beautiful Sunday at 11:30am. They miss out on lots of opportunities to make money, and charge more than nicely maintained courses around town.
With its ideal location I wish someone would just buy this course and run it properly.
A feel good course
Shot an 82, the gapping worked well for me and I played a smart game. Pretty straightforward course that lets you relax.
Great course
Had a great time playing the course. The greens were in great shape. I will definitely play it again.
