Lovely
Considering a major storm passed by here 2 days ago and cause a massive power outage and numerous uprooted trees, it is impressive how the staff got the course in playing order so quick.
The course is lovely and reasonably challenging. Staff is really fantastic. Seriously considering becoming a member. First impressions is everything and the crew here did not disappoint.
Cedarhill in the rain
Booked Cedarhill a week in advance on a GolfNow Deal. Unfortunately, there was no refund unless the course was closed. It poured rain the entire day before and all night before our tee time and the wet rendered the course playable but with no carts. We played the first three holes in the rain and then it stopped until the last three holes. There were about five golfers played the course while we were there so I really cannot comment on the pace. There was a great deal of water on some fairways, causing some shots to “plug” and there was no roll unless you got off the fairway. Overall, the price we paid was competitive and the pro shop offered us a rain check on a cart for future play. There was a great deal of “goose droppings” on some holes and this could be attributed to not being mowed for a couple of days. The greens were really soft and held extremely well but again, I am not sure what normal is. This golf day was a father/son outing and despite the rain, we had a great time on the course. It was well laid out and had some difficulty built in to some holes. I would definitely play this course again but in better weather.
Course for average golfer
Course in good shape. Relatively fast greens. Pace of play 4 hrs. Most par 4 holes are less than 400 yards.
A great time always at Cedarhill!
Always fun to play Cedarhill. I love that it isn't too long!
The course was in very good condition. Fairways and greens were really good. Not all the tee boxes were great but that is expected with the amount of volume I’m sure they see during these COVID times. With the court conditions and it being so close to the city I would absolutely recommend playing it any time.
