Beautiful course
Amazing setting for this course - close to the city and with beautiful rolling hills and large established trees. Course was in great shape considering the drought we had all summer...really great greens. This course is one to be played - its tight and fast and makes you work on your precision.
Staff and marshals are very friendly and helpful. Always have had quick responses to my inquiries from the management too. Food is good, but the windows in the dining room could use a good clean.
Love this course and really wish it could go back to private- this would help maintain the integrity of the greens ,reduce littering, etc.that I personally have seen happen with non members that just don't care. This course and clubhouse are better than some of the private ones I've played in the area.
The staff were entirely unhelpful and non-responsive
The course does not answer their phone, does not follow-up on messages, and does not respond to messages via alternate channels such as social media. When support was requested on-site it was met with a response of "we're really busy and can't help with that". When a manager was asked for, we were told that he was busy golfing and was unavailable. All in all, very unimpressed. The course was fine, but the staff interaction makes it entirely not worth the time or the spend.
Excellent greens
The general course condition seems like it had a rough year. I played a day after much rain and the course didn’t seem to be able to dry up well. The tee-off areas seemed to have had a rough year growing grass. All that said, the greens were very good and true.
Good Value
A great course fr golfers of all levels. Accuracy off the tee more important than a long drive. Good choice ,for an early morning round. Pace of play 3:40.
Always a Great Experience!
I play Cedarhill whenever I can. I truly enjoy their greens. As a single player,,it can be difficult during this pandemic to get a tee-off time through Golf Now.
Very Narrow Course
Course is typical of older courses. Not particularly long but narrow with trees right on the edge of the fairway. Not being in the fairway means a lot of extra shots to punch out. Routing of course is odd, and there are multiple holes with houses on one side as the course winds through a residential area. The routing is a bit unusual as well. Greens were fast and particularly difficult with pin placements.
Wasn't a huge fan of the course, but it's a reasonable course at a good price.
Poor Communication - Decent Value
Not a great start to our 9-hole game. We show up to first tee check in at 6:38pm for our tee time at 6:40pm and the 6:50pm group was starting to tee off. Starter said it’s past 6:40pm and by this time it was 6:40pm exactly, right on time. No one told us we were paired with another group who by this time were already finishing up on the first green and the starter must have let them start 5-10 mins early. So after a discussion with the starter and the 6:50pm group, we ended up not being able to play the first hole and walked to catch up to our group. Definitely left a sour taste in our mouths for a few holes.
That aside, a decent course and good value for the money. Just wish there was better communication from staff in regards to pairings, especially considering our half of our party arrived at pro shop 15-20 mins before tee time.
Average At Best
Course was okay! Tee boxes were terrible, not and patchy. Fairways were hard and dry a lot of roll and most were green. The green's were in good shape. Alot of par 4's not very many 3's and 4's. Back 9 was better than the front. Pace of play was extremely slow and no one was monitoring it. The price for power carts was outrageously over priced. $40 for a power cart. It was almost the same price as the $45 green fees. I've played a lot of different courses and $75 for golf and cart here is not worth it at all. Patio was nice and service from the lady on the patio was excellent. Proshop girls were not very inviting. Overall I would recommend with caution, there is way better courses in Ottawa/Gatineau area for that price

Great day
Not too many people out on Wednesday and they were well spaced out so no pressure. Cart was clean . Nice meal on the patio after - really nice server.
