Great greens. Even better pace of play!
I’ve played here twice now through GolfNow Hot Deals. For what I paid, I’m very happy. Fairways are in rough shape, but the greens are in great condition. A fun course that uses all my clubs.
Coarse conditions
Have played this coarse many times. Up until this year the coarse has been in good condition. From the start of the year conditions have gone from poor to bad. Poor fairways, horrible traps, will not return.
very sad to see
i have played Kings Bay many times in passed years and was always impressed with the lush carpet like fairways and greens. Sad to Say that is far from the truth now, The greens are in sad shape and some are in danger of dying , The fairways are a disgrace, with dead spots and weed invation everywhere. Golf North are not looking after the course. Which shouldn,t have really suprised us as we recently played one of their other courses. on the Cabot Trail. Inngernish once described as one of the top ten Courses in Canada is now no more than a dogrun ,, Shame on you Golf North for allowing the is mess to happen. i would think twice about booking tee times at any Golf North Property
Love this course
Greens are in really good shape. Suggest you play preferred lies in the fairway, they have some drought damage in spots. Grounds crew is great and always working on this course to keep it in good shape.
Cow Pasture
Diseased fairways & greens . Tee boxes almost non existant. Golf North Properties has given up on Kings Bay . No.$$ being spent it is so obvious. Been at KB since it opened. Today was my last round. SAD
Great course for golfing in good pace
Nobody interrupted during playing twosome. This was the 2nd time of golfing here.
Great course
I enjoyed the game alone without any hindrance. Focusing on each hole, I tried to manage how to reach green. I finished 18 holes (9 ×2) in 2hours 30 minutes.
brown eyed girl
so deeply disappointed in conditions....worse I've seen in any course in my life! apparently irrigation problems but my spider sense tells me different. will no return this year. staff were friendly!! no one on the course because it was so terrible!!
Good Course for the Money
Interesting 9 hole layout. Greens keep you honest. Fairways are in rough shape - either due to the recent dryness but more than likely some other problems. Staff very friendly. Find the casual atmosphere much to my liking.
Great layout - super friendly staff
Highly recommended - the only thing is the shortage of water this year (they're only allowed to take so much water from lake Scugog) has dried out the fairways but the greens and green surroundings and tees are fine. Staff is great and welcoming. The layout is excellent with 3 par 5's and 3 par 3's. Tee decks are far enough apart to accommodate any level player.
This is the first time all the fairways were burnt, but the greens where in excellent condition but slow.
Enjoyable Course
Pretty views of the lake. Fairways pretty dried out due to dry weather conditions. Greens also a bit uneven but playable.Very friendly staff.
Course needs some attention
This could be a very good golf course. Layout is good ,challenge is acceptable but it has been let go a bit. The fairways need watering, the golf carts need a big update and some of the greens are very bumpy.
You get what you pay for here. I have played this course numerous times but i am losing interest due to the issues above.
Sad - Golf North has let this gem slide
I've been playing here a few times a year for the last 3-4 yrs. It's a bit out of the way, but worth the drive. Great nine hole track with a few holes right on Lake Scugog.
The issue now is the ownership has stopped putting money into the course and the conditions are terrible. Bunkers overgrown, fairways burnt out and greens are barely grass.
I love this place and really hope the conditions get back to how they were.
